Please allow submission of additional information regarding issues with my 2013 Ford Taurus police interceptor. As stated on the previous complaint filed on 1/9/2024, I got my car service at autonation Ford service center on 12/16/2023, and I brought it back to the service center on Saturday, 12/23/2023 because of the car’s poor performance and engine had laminated on 12/17/2023. Issues such exhaust system, fuel system, the driver exterior door handle is loose, and seat belt gets jammed.

While driving on the hwy my moonroof exploded. Which cldve caused a accident due to the shock and fear it caused from the very loud gunshot like sound when exploding out of no where. . For reason that was done by myself. .

Water drain blockage caused water pooling in interior front passenger side of car. Car was parked outside in assigned parking space and at the time there were a couple of weeks of excessive rains during the month of August 2020.

Frequent full suspension jounce and rebound travel may increase the stress on the rear suspension toe linkds which may overr time result in a toe link fracture. Ford has yet to provide the necessary part(s) to effectuate a recall repair by the dealership. Ford seems to be ignoring this NHTSA recall in a timely manner. Please contact Ford and request immediate attention to this matter. Thank you.

On October 23 2019, I retained mavis discount tire to inspect my new york state registered 2003 Ford Taurus. Mavis discount tire passed the vehicle, determining the vehicles condition complied with NY state safety standard of roadworthiness. 12/12/2019, after repairing the transmission at gorilla auto works, I was informed of a serious structural situation, control arm assembly "severely deteriorated". On January 20th 2020, I again referred the vehicle to caskinete Ford carthage new york for further evaluation, at Ford motor company standards, as was informed, that the control arm assembly was not repairable, at the present condition, did not meet new york state or federal safety standards, contrary to the original status, and inspection , issued 10/23/2019 mavis discount tire arsenal st. Watertown new york. Further evaluations, study revealed, that failure of this condition, underway, at us interstate average speed of traffic, potentially catastrophic incident would result, eminent risk of loss of life. Per us agency standards, I have made all reasonable efforts to resolve this complaint with relevant state agencies, dmv. Etc. Additional efforts included relevant new york state political representatives, to include new york state senate. *please note the, possibly intentional omission by mavis staff, of the vehicles mileage. Obtained by other records.

The driver's side inside door handle failed to open the door to allow egress. It hangs out limply on its hinges not engaging the door latch. To open the door, the window has to be rolled down and the outside door handle pulled up as though entering the vehicle. This problem was the subject of a prior recall several years ago and this very same inside door handle was repaired by a Ford dealer.

Tl the contact owns a 2002 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that the vehicle's windshield was loosening on the upper passenger side. The contact noticed that the windshield was coming out of the molding. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 129,000.

� my driver-side interior door handle return spring has recently unseated. (door will not latch). Vehicle was stationary when latch broke. � this condition is exactly as described in Ford recall 15s02. � Ford is refusing to cover the repair since the build-date of my car was 6 months later than 15s02 recalled vehicles. � my date may be 6 months later than the Ford specified end-date but I have the identical unsafe condition (and vehicle model / year) as described in the recall. � two questions: 1) where does Ford get these recall dates? (when obviously there are cars built later with the same issue) 2) how can I make Ford cover this repair?.

Engine cradle rotting, mechanics said it's a common problem for the make and model.

Drivers door not latching. Have had to drive on a highway to purchase wd40 to try and get my door shut. I have also had an issue with my lights flashing. And who plugs a phone into a car charger for 2 hours and it doesn't charge. It never used to do that. Door wouldn't shut while sitting in driving and when driving in city and highway. Lights flickered while driving on highway. Phone wouldn't charge while on highway. I have to dig the two receipts out from the wd40 purchase. It is going in today for an oil change and they want to look at my door which will cost an additional $85 on top of the oil change.

When driving my car I have been involved in 2 wrecks because of this problem when trying to stop quickly the car does not stop the traction light comes on and the car continues to roll. I had a front end collision and my air bags never deployed I was traveling about 35-40 mph. I bought the car from jd byrider. This is not the first time this car has done this meaning stopping but the air bag deployment this is the first time. I had my kids and grandkids in the car on each time this happened and I fill if I continue driving this car with these problems something serious is going to happpen next time.

I have a complaint about the trunk hydraulic mechanism. I was hurt when the trunk was open I sat on the bumper to put my golf shoes on. At that time the hydraulic air pump that holds the trunk open failed and fell direct on by back. Forgetting this happened it also closed on my head cutting it. I believe this is very dangerous and needs to be recall before a finger is chopped off. Please let me know who I can respond to. Stationary.

The back passenger side door keeps slipping out of place. The door has difficulties opening as it catches against the front passenger side door and makes a snapping sound. The door has already been fixed twice by the dealership but we were informed that this is a know problem with the newer vehicles and they didn't think this would be resolved. May law enforcement vehicles have been at the same dealership and the lady who works at Ford said they have had to fix a lot of vehicles with the same problem. The dealership will not cover the cost of fixing the door going forward as we have had the car more than a year. I called Ford to report the issue and my concern over the ability to get my son out of the back seat in a case of emergency. I asked them to note a recall and all I got back was an email stating they will not cover the cost of the fix. They never addressed my concern about safety and the ability of the door to function. The door has not experienced any stress and only normal open and shut. There has been no accidents but the door keeps slipping out of alignment. The vehicle went into the dealership to be corrected March 21 and April 11th.

Door latches get stuck open and doors will not close, or will unlatch and swing open while driving. I currently own two 2007 Ford Taurus vehicles and this has happened consistently with those two, plus my previous Taurus�- a 2003, 2005 and two 2006 Taurus�.

One day my daughter and I were traveling to the store. On the way to the store my back door on the drivers side of the vehicle just pops open. I thought she was messing with it so I asked her and she said no she was just sitting there. So I pulled over and shut the door. It didn't open all the way but it opened enough for the door alarm to go off. I didnt think much of it until again, just yesterday, the door did it again! we ere driving down the road and the same door just pops open again! now I am really concerned. My daughter is only 6 years old. What if she is sleeping and leaning on the door while I am driving and the door pops open like that?! my car only has 34k miles on it, has never been wrecked so this concerns me. Is there some issue with my vehicle that may need to be recalled?? I am concerned about my childs safety at this point and would like a resolution.

The headliner has detached from the vehicle despite only 5 years old. It blocks the rear window. Also, the upper center brake light is on the headliner and is now no operating properly because of its orientation. This is a major safety hazard. Ford has issued a TSB on this. Several attempts to get Ford to repair under warranty or for safety reasons were unsuccesful. It is very disappointing. Research confirms that this was a poor design with limited life on plastic mounting brackets. Repair estimated to almost $1000!.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Taurus. While driving various speeds, the contact heard a sloshing sound. When the contact moved the rubber stripping on the outside of the rear passenger door, water poured out. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic. The contact spoke with chapman Ford of horsham (1100 easton rd, horsham, PA 19044) and was advised to bring in the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 7,800.

In cold weather my driver door was will not close and lock. The locking mechanism becomes useless. If I slam the door it just bounces from the impact. (I read another complaint and realized I have the same annoying problem). I tried wd40 to lubricate lock, but it seems when the car warms up the lock starts working again.

On the dash the electronic gauge for milage stopped working,on the body the alarm goes off when the passenger side doors are closed,the rear doors get full of water and now they are rusting both left and right.

The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Pulling into a parking spot at a store my 2014 Ford Taurus surged ahead. The car went across the parking stop and crashed into the front of the store. The front of the car was damaged and the front of the store was damaged. The weather was dry and about 70 degrees. I was going less than 5 mph at the time the car surged ahead. It was as if I had stomped on the gas but I had my foot on the brake. This vehicle has less than 10,000 miles on it. I assume it was some sort of problem with the throttle system. This happened in league city texas and the police department case number is 16-1961. I had the vehicle towed to mcree Ford in dickenson texas for repairs.

Front spring coil is broken.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the moisture and condensation in the headlamps was normal. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,100.

I was rear ended at the intersection of howard Ave, and kinnickinnic Ave. The light was green there were 2 vehicles ahead of me not moving forward. My car was stationary with brakes applied than as I look up in my rear view mirror a Ford f150 rear ended me. (red and gray) I reported the claim to my insurance and his. I also contacted the st francis police to but they told me to file a claim here.

We had several close calls where the car would not stop,and slide on dry pavement,and wet conditions . The car had new brakes, rotors, tires, but still would have trouble stopping, unfortunately my daughter was driving the car today,and hit another car. I just replaced the tires again a few months go, thinking the tires were the problem. I had several close calls myself, and I think there is a big problem with this car stopping. Thank god nobody was hurt, but this could have been much worse. My daughter was going approximately 30 miles an hour, and she was on a city street, conditions were wet , but she had plenty of time to stop.

I have experienced problems with my Taurus for three years beginning with the bad brake system, leaking moon roof, and now the trottal sensor performance system. The brake started with cable not releasing with the brakes are applied causing a rubbing noise which avis Ford still claiming they can't see or hear anything, next, the roof leak and replacing of the noisy air condition system that was replace and still has some knocking when the system is turned on. Third the car was required by the dealer to go through a computer upgrade with has cause the car to have performance issues. My car is at the dealership today for not execellarating. I was driving on Saturday with my two grandchildren under 4 years old and my car stop working, leaving me stranded with the children. The rpm lost power and the car would not drive, although the gears were working. I have always been a Ford owner, but with the multiple issues I have had with my Taurus, my desire is to go with another company and bid Ford farewell forever. Each time I take my car back to the dealership they continue to tell me that the issues are normal wear for the 2010 Taurus with the mileage of 88000 miles. I have been having issues with my car since before 36000 miles and the issues keep adding. Ford motor company should be responsible for the products they design and put on the road. I have seen other Taurus car that have not had half the issues my car has experienced over the past 5 years. Ford needs to buy my car back and replace it with a more reliable vehicle that does not have a million issues. My car has regular scheduled maintenance and still has issue after issue, that avis will not resume the responsibility to just creating a bad vehicle. This is my last Ford car, I will by elsewhere moving forward. I am a disappointed Ford customer, and I am not happy with Ford service.
