Brake pedal keeps going to the floor, when brakes are applied, it appears as if brakes are gone. Contacted dealer. This is a common problem. Consumer also stated the brakes were squeaking.
While in motion, consumer stepped on brakes and it made a grinding noise and the wheel would shake. Consumer had vehicle serviced, both front rotors were machined. The problem still exists along with the brake, when pressed it goes all the way to the floor.

Consumer was slowing down for a traffic light when vehicle started to accelerate instead of slowing down. Consumer shifted into neutral , heard engine rev. Shut key off in order to stop vehicle. Restarted vehicle, and it ran normal for another mile. Consumer will contact dealer to determine cause. Consumer has noticed that Tauruses with adjustable pedals have a softer brake pedal with more play than other vehicles.
Vehicle lost braking power while traveling down hill, causing it to lose control and hit a guardrail. Manufacturer was notified. Feel free to provide any further details on this matter.

While braking the consumer can hear a buzzing noise from the vehicle and the vehicle experiences extended stopping distance, this problem ocurs intermittently and the consumer feels this is a safety hazard.
While driving vehicle speeds up and cannot slow down when pressing down on brakes. This may cause a crash. Took vehicle to dealer, but dealer could not determine cause. The left front drive wheel makes roaring noise. The vehicle also trys to pull off when braking to stop. The dealer neither can fix it nor take the vehicle back.
When braking front end vibration feels like car not stoping properly.
Vehicle accelerated with brakes applied. This occurred three times. Previously, vehicle dragged 20-30 seconds approaching a stop due to it not stopping on time. Please provide more information.

The day before the accdeints, the gas padal were sticking, and started to slide. On the day of the accdeint I wer on my way to the dealer and a car cross over very close to I and I turn to involed hit it and sidle againsted a little crub , my right side tire barely touch the crub . Ans less that a second the air bags went out than 30 secondlater the secind bag came out. This shouldn't had happen.
Rear brakes worn out and rotors needed turning causing noise ,also all tires needed replacement. Yh.

The car has been in yo shop several times for brake fluid beign low it is a half tank low now and was in shop in Dec 2001today is 1-19-02 the dealer tels me that Taurus,s use brake fluid as the brake pads wear down this car has used at least 3 pints since new . That is my best guess as the dealer has alwase added it. I have never heard of a car using brake fluid as the pads wear down . I just talked to my insurance agent who drives a sable he said he has never added brake fluid to it till he and his brother did a complete brake job on it at 100. 000 miles . Help please.
While driving at 35 mph on wet pavement applied the brakes and they failed to work properly, consumer rear ended another vehicle.
Whenever the brakes are applied, it would have high idle & acceleration. Would have to keep foot on brakes to maintain stop. Had taken to dealer several times for high acceleration & idling, but problem is never found.
When the brake pedal is pushed there are no brakes. Extended stopping distance occurs. Dealer 4 times contacted, and stated to wait until the next failure to check. Problem still exists. No remedy to repair. . Et.

While driving vehicle about 35 mph the consumer stepped on the brake pedal to stop vehicle, according to consumer, the vehicle stopped, but there was a lot of vibration on the steering wheel. The consumer had taken the vehicle twice to dealer already, and she will take it back one more time the next day.

Vehicle is equipped with a feature that adjusts brake pedal. When applying brakes, driver can mistakenly press accelerator due to design. Each time the vehicle has failed to brake, the motor roars and the car jumps forward.
