Power Window Problems of Ford Taurus

2000 Ford Taurus attorney representing consumer writes in regards to vehicle defective power window switch the consumer's son inadvertently activated the defective and unsafe power window switch. The window closed around his head and neck preventing him from calling to his mother. The consumer was unaware her some was in trapped, because she was cleaning the snow from the car. The consumer finally noticed her son in distress and attempted to resuscitate him. Moments later, she rushed him to the hospital. As a result of the defective window system, her son suffered severe and permanent injuries.

Rear passenger power window went out. Mechanic said that he sees this all the time and that I'll probably be back shortly for another one. He said that they put cheap motors in them and they don't last long.

The motors of the two windows on the driver's side of a 2002 Taurus 4 door sedan both failed. The Ford dealer determined that the motors had failed and offered to replace them at $225 each. Charge for inspection was $42. Having power windows that won't go down could be a safety problem in some situations.

The windshield wipers would come on and go off while driving in inclement weather. The consumer was able to drive to dealer. The mechanic informed the driver that the windshield motor needed to be replaced. Please fill in additional information. Left back window motor fell out of window. Window will not go up or down. The original drivers side window motor was replaced August 3,2000. That motor failed and was replaced on August 25,2000. That motor failed and was replaced on September 26,2000. The first replacement motor was replaced with 45,431 miles on the car. All work has been done by turnpike Ford of gallipolis,ohio. I have to think that their is another problem.
