1 Headlights Turn Off While Driving problem of the 2010 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 08/13/2018

I own a 2010 GMC Acadia. . . I've had to replace the low beams on both passenger and driver side numerous times!!!!!!!! I'm a single mother of 3. . . Not only is it extremely dangerous for your headlights to go out at any given moment(especially when my children are in the vehicle. . . Not to mention other motorists children) but its also costly!!!!! this all started back in Aug 2018. . . This is getting ridiculous!!! I've done my dues. . . Worked hard to pay my vehicle off. . . All I wanted was a good and reliable vehicle for my family. . . And it's far from safe!!!!.

2 Headlights Turn Off While Driving problem of the 2012 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 04/22/2018

I have had to replace the headlight bulb and the day light bulbs 4 times since January. Each time I replace one the other goes out and it does't last longer than a few weeks. This is very dangerous and stressful as the headlights went out on me as I was driving home two nights ago and the road that I take to get home is very dark. Also, I had to replace the multi function switch (windshield wiper switch due to it only working on high speed) in January. I've noticed multiple people with the same complaints. Please fix this problem as buying bulbs are becoming expensive as well as the time it takes to get them replaced can be lengthy.

3 Headlights Turn Off While Driving problem of the 2008 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 08/21/2013

Passenger side headlight failed to properly function, bulb was changed and still failed to function properly. Problem seems rooted in manufacturer's wire harness not properly functioning.

4 Headlights Turn Off While Driving problem of the 2009 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 03/30/2013

Passenger side low-beam headlight failed. Upon inspection, it appears the light socket itself has melted and caused the wiring shielding to melt as well. Attempted replacement of the bulb resulted in the socket housing crumbling in my hands. The dealer claims it will cost upward of $500 to change my lightbulb. This is outrageous and clearly the fault of GMC, who seem to have purposely designed these bulbs to overhead their housings, melt, and be almost impossible to change without taking the vehicle to the dealer. I want GMC to pay for new wiring and illumination.
