Car shut off while driving. All electrical went out. Doors all locked while inside, key stuck in ignition. Started with side detection warning and within a few days car completely shut off while driving! huge safety issue! will not restart and still can't get key out of the ignition. Battery is fully charged but no power. Completely dead. There is a known recall on 2014 GMC Acadias for electronic module failure but not our specific vehicle though this seems to be the exact cause of our problems. GMC said they could not help?!.

Side blind spot detection modules not working. This creates a safety hazard in general, but causes an electrical short internally and causes other electrucal parts to malfunction such air bags ignition blinkers rear back up camera front crash detection these are all major safety issues that happen on the road, in motion for my family in the car and others on the road. We need to get it fixed but, parts are back ordered and not available for almost 6 months now. It's a $1200 repair and is re occurring problem from what the dealer has said. . This vehicle has been in service for just over 3 years and should be safe to drive for a much longer duration than that. Thanks.

Electrical system is completely dead. Key cannot be removed from ignition. This happened earlier today for a short time. Electrical did come back on allowing the vehicle to be driven home. When shut off, vehicle's electrical system is totally dead. Shifter cannot be taken out of park. Key cannot be removed. This vehicle has had previous issues with water from sun roof leaking into cabin, possibly contributing. Transmission recently repaired. Internal switch module replaced. Audio amp recently replaced, totally inop.

Tl-the contact owns a 2008 GMC arcadia. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced many electrical issues. The rear doors would not unlock, the lift gate failed to open, the check engine light intermittently illuminated, the battery died with the key stuck in the ignition. When the battery was replaced the key was removed with the engine continued to run. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for a diagnostic testing who stated that the body control module needed to be replaced to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000. Rg.
