1 Windshield Wiper/washer problem of the 2006 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 02/23/2011

Front windshield washer nozzle failure, both (left and right). 1st event noted in 2009 when vehicle had 32000 miles, this is the 2nd event. Nozzles stop spraying washing fluid effectively, preventing driver from cleaning the front windshield in high debris conditions, reducing visibility and posing a driving hazard specially in high debris / insect areas in non-optimal lighting conditions such as nighttime driving or when the vehicle is aligned towards the sun or other light source. Previous event required replacement of the nozzles, it is not caused by obstruction as plenty of fluid still flows out of the nozzle (just not in the necessary pattern).

7 Windshield Wiper/washer problem of the 2003 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 04/28/2006

There is a recall on erratic wiper operation in my 2003 GMC Envoy. But because my VIN number wasn't included in the recall, they will not fix it. I have to pay for it, if I want fixed. Sometimes the wipers don't shut off if too much moisture gets in the wiper module. Should be an open recall.

8 Windshield Wiper/washer problem of the 2005 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 10/28/2005

I recently bought an GMC Envoy xuv suddenly one day while I was driving it and it started raining, I turned on the wipers and then adjusted it to the slowest mode. They stopped working and I had to drive home in the rain with poor visibility. I also bought an extended warranty on my vehicle and as of this date there are only approximately 6000 miles on the car. I called to have it looked at and was told it may not be covered by my warranty so far I have not had this problem fixed and therefore have not been using this vehicle. Until I get better service at GMC I will continue to not use it.
