There were two cases: first I was involved in a wreck with a car hitting me in the rear so hard that my back compartments wont open and now the air bag light is on and wont go off. Another case was as I was driving slowly to the laundry matt my power steering quit while my brakes went to the floor. It scared me to death and is broke down now. My three children are usually with me always. I have an 18 yr old autistic girl, a 13 yr old boy and a 4 year old boy. I'm a stay at home mom and used my ride for the children. Now I'm scared to drive it and dont know if anyone can help me.

. I would like to report the incident I had with my automobile: GMC Safari wagon 2003. One day in July this year (2014) I applied the brakes of the above vehicle when I was approaching the red traffic light. The vehicle did not stop even through the break system was recently worked on. I investigated the reason why it failed to stop and found out that the break line was heavily corroded.

The contact owns a 2004 GMC Safari awd. The contact was driving approximately 3-5 mph and coming to a stop when the abs activated abnormally and caused the brakes to pulsate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where they advised the contact that the hubs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.

Abs system defect. When slowing down to stop, at very low speed (about 5 mph) abs engages, although there is no need for it. This causes a "floating" sensation, making control of the stopping point uncertain, unlike normal braking. This has been going on for about 2 months. Most recently, car is pulling to right during the stop, when abs engages.
My abs system is the same as the other complaints. I will press on the brakes and it acts like I have no brakes. I took it to a repair shop yesterday and they said the part would cost $1,310. 00 for one part alone. Why haven't there been a recall on this situation. Before someone does get hurt.
Abs, when braking at slower speeds the abs activates and brake pedal pulsates making it very very difficult to stop. Happens every time we stop in good or bad weather.
No brakes/power steering due to hyrdrobooster failure.
1. The breaking system is real bad that caused a great shaking in the stirring wheel. 2. Unusual sound in the back of the van
3. Rattling noise in the shelves
4. Stirring wheel is not working good when making a u-turn, I need several attempts before making a complete u-turn. 5. Noise in the driver's side door and other minor problems.

When the brakes were applied, it took longer for the vehicle to stop. The consumer stated the vehicle vibrated to the point where the windows rattled when the brakes were applied. Also the power steering pump shaft was replaced.
In this particular circumstance my husband was pulling into our driveway, when he hit the brakes to stop we did not have brakes, our vehicle rammed into our garage door. On numerous occasions my brakes have went out when driving the vehicle, I have personally went through stop lights and stop signs because my brakes were ineffective.
Safari engine unpedictably stopped whne covering short distance. Engine shut off while driving. On three separate occasion, when the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, they were unable to duplicate the condition of a dying engine. On another occasion, the consumer was unable to stop the vehicle. The passenger window would go up, but would not roll down. The fuel gauge did not read correctly.
