The contact owns a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that when depressing the brake pedal, he would experience a vibrating or popping feeling. The vehicle was taken and inspected by an independent mechanic, who stated that the anti-lock braking system failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified, but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

Brake lines failed on my 1999 gms sierra pick up. Had to be replaced at a cost of $2000. 00 +'s. Also anti lock braking has failed due to front sensor problem, gm wanted to replace front bearings and wheel hubs to fix this for $1100. 00 more,told them this was a recall they did in the past did not want to hear it. Had to remove fuse for anti lock braking, vehicle rides and brakes ok.

2002 GMC sierra pu anti lock brakes failed in 2005. Close encounter when brakes failed to stop vehicle. Brakes were repaired under warranty. Brake failure again in 2009 and paid out of pocket to have repaired. Same brake failure for third time. 2010 anti-lock brakes currently disconnected.
