While turning into a buisness from a highway, the low fuel warning came on even though I had just filled the tank. Upon leaving the buisness, I started the truck and put it into reverse and the enging stalled. Restarted the truck and put it into reverse again and it stalled again. Restarted and tried going forward and it ran fine. About 1 mile down the road the low fuel warning came on again and the engine stalled while traveling approximately 35 mph. At this point I realized that the doors had unlocked and the instrument cluster gauges kept sweeping up and down. I tried to restart the engine but it would not turn over. It acted like the battery was dead. After wating several seconds, I tried again and the engine restarted. I noted the battery voltage in the instrument cluster and it was normal. No warning lights on in the instrument cluster. No dtcs present when checked with a generic scan tool. My safety was put at risk because the engine stalled while driving in traffic. I have not taken it to the dealer yet as they are not open today and I wanted to report this while all the details were fresh on my mind.

On two separate occasions, the truck has been dead when attempting to crank. There were no lights or devices left on after the previous time the truck had been used. Something is drawing power from the battery causing it to be dead. After recharging the battery, the check engine codes read that there is a problem with brake light illumination. help in determining wha t is causing the battery to die on such a new vehicle would greatly appreciated! I'm uncertain at this time as to whether or not the brake light illumination is causing a safety hazard.

Battery was dead in the garage. Called road side assistance who jump-started car. Car would not go into gear. We rolled it out into driveway where it sat for 24 hours. When it was loaded for travel to dealership, it cranked and was driven up on wrecker trailer like it had no apparent problems. Was carried to dealership where they recharged and checked the battery and reset 14 different codes which were lost with the low voltage.
Has had an issue with accessories flashing off and back on. Reported it to a GMC dealer and they were unable to duplicate but said that the battery was bad and most likely what was causing it. It did fine for a while then began doing it again. This time however it caused a loss in power steering and I ended up in the ditch. Later it did it in a parking lot and was able to video tape it. Took it to the dealer and showed them the video. They were unable to duplicate for 4 days while I was paying for a rental because mine wasn't safe to drive. On the fourth day I provided them with a service bulletin I found that addressed the issue as being a fluctuation in power and for them to check the cables and do a drop load test. They did and it failed. I then had to pay 376. 00 to replace them plus having to pay for a rental after asking for a loaner. This is a problem a lot of people are having. Just a quick google search makes that plain. Gm isn't wanting to admit it. I have the video but I don't think it will allow me to upload it to the form.

I have a 2007 sierra, which has been giving me problems since it was pur chased. It has stop in the middle of the traffic when I was driving. It has done this 4 times since I purchased the vehicle. I have taking the vehicle to the dealer, but, they never find anything wrong. On Saturday the car stop , in the middle of traffic, and this time it did not move at all. The truck would not move, and I was trying to make a right, but I was stuck. I was worried that someone could crush from the back, because they could not pass, there was a man that came and push my truck to get out of the street . And now I am concerned for the safety of my daughter and me. This vehicle has giving me many problems, but the dealer never seems to find anything wrong with the vehicle. I had some items installed by them. One was a dvd player, it cost 2,300. And they said that it was my fault so they did not fix it. And that was 3 moths after the installation of the dvd by them. And the battery die on the truck 4 months after it was purchased. That was the only thing they change. I hope that I can be helped, I feel very insecure in this vehicle. I'm happy that I did not get into a major accident because of all these problems. Thank you .

Received letter from GMC about cluster panel gauges sticking or fluttering. I did not
have any problems at that time and mileage was over the 70,000 stated in letter. Later the oil gauge started fluttering and battery gauge registers battery as dead. Contacted GMC on 1/17/08, was told the instrument panel had be diagnosed by certified GMC service personal. I was given a reference number to use when contacting GMC. I had hpr automotive in sulllivan,IL. Diagnose the panel. -cost $85. Diagnosis was cluster panel defective. GMC contacted hpr to verify panel was defective. The cost would be $600 plus for the repair. After several conversations with two GMC service representatives . I was told on 2/29/08 by a third representative that GMC would not cover the panel replacement. I have read several forums on the defective cluster panel. Most state GMC refused the repairs, others state dealership where vehicle was purchased did repair for no cost even though the mileage was over 70,000. I feel that GMC should be held accountable for the defective part no matter what the mileage is, since they state in writing they know the part is defective, thanks m. G.
