Radio/tape Cd Player Problems of GMC Sierra 1500

Heard a laud pop and grinding noise on my 2013 5. 3 vortex v8 GMC from the motor where I had to stop it because I thought my motor was going to luck up on me. I pulled over on the side of the road on missouri and triviz. Where my wife had to pick me up 1 hour after the the fact to haul it back home. Got home where I did my research to find parts and labor coast for my truck and came across some active class action lawsuits on GMC for same tape of engine the 5. 3 vortex and same and 1 year older or 1 year newer having the same problem. Where cases been open since 2016 and still open now for GMC to perform that kinda of engine to be called as a re-call. I then got a hold of GMC motors to see what they can do for me not being the only one with this kind of problem to see if they can help me in any kind of way and they respond was for me to take it to a certified dealer in las cruces, nm for GMC. I did just that then where I was rejected by the dealer because they had no information about what I and my wife just had discover back home. The reason why gm motors wanted me to take the truck was for them to do a full dynastic on the truck to see if it was the lifters that was wrong with it. Came to be it was the lifters and as well for the camshaft where they give me all paperwork about my truck and how much to fix it we are looking at 5,000. 00 to replace the lifters and camshaft or 10,000. 00 to put a new motor and the gm motors denied to help or to fix or replace the motor and camshaft or even try to meet me half way on expenses for my truck to get it up and running again. We got back home and talked to a lawyer that been fighting some cases since 2016 and added he added me to the others cases for the class action lawsuit for GMC not fallowing with there responsibilities for there action about the 5. 3 vortex from 2012-2015 makes and models with this kinda of motors.

Brand new truck. Stuck at the gym in the middle of the night truck wont start. The interior lights, head lights, and radio wont shut off. Vehicle wont start. I'm assuming the battery was drained because interior lights, exterior lights, radio, wont shut off. Has to be some kind of electrical malfunction. Waiting on gm roadside.

The sierra surges from park to reverse and drive. I bumped a vehicle today, and the surge has become an issue this week and there is not even 9,000 miles on the truck. The afm is rough shifting between v8 and v4 mode too. None of this was an issue until recently. My speakers also vibrate like a blown speaker on high definition radio, but not on regular radio stations.

Roof antenna leaking after 2. 5 years the roof mount antenna for xm radio started leaking into headliner causes radio to get intermittent signal. Leak travels down driver side pillar into dash board which will cause electrical shorting and failure. This problem is due to a faulty design of the antenna. There are thousands of complaints online regarding this problem. Dealer refused to replace at there expense. Contacted gm who also refused to replace it. This was a $60,000 truck less than 3yrs old. It got my attention because I use xm radio and lost reception. There must be many more with this problem who don't even know it because they don't use xm radio. This is a serious problem having a leak traveling down into dashboard what else is affected air bags, lights, brakes etc. The design of this is awful GMC is extremely negligent not recalling on this problem.

I have taken my vehicle three times to the dealership for the radio systems turning off completely, not giving access to radio functions, and stays on after the vehicle is completely turned off. Now the issue is crossing over to the driver cluster control module where it turns off completely and restarts on its own while I'm driving. Dealership has never given me a solution or have contacted me since then. When I called about on going issue, they stated that they cannot do anything unless the problem is present when at the dealership even after I explained it happens at random times. They refused to listen and look up prior service history. Did prior research and located an article that radio and cluster were going to be part of a recall but gm claimed it was not an issue.

The rear speakers on my 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab quit working and haven't came back on. I have been to different forums and this seems to be a very common occurrence.

I have a 2006 GMC sierra pick-up truck with less than 20,000 mile on it and have run out of gas twice when the gas guage reads more than a quater tank of fuel on the guage. I just listened to a report on the radio of a possible recall on many gm vehicles with gas guage problems just like mine. I wish you would look into adding the gm sierra pick-up to this list for recall.
