1 Axle Shaft Seal problem of the 2002 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 08/09/2005

2002 GMC Yukon. The consumer had to have abs sensors replaced. There was a recall but it did not effect the consumer's state, which was wisconsin. This could be replaced by dealership for the amount of $924. The consumer paid to have sensors replaced. The consumer experienced the same problem as stated in the recalled vehicles . Mechanic tested the sensors and stated this would not stop vehicle. The front hub and bearing were corroded along with the sensors. The left rear axle was worn which caused a fluid leak.

2 Axle Shaft Seal problem of the 1996 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 01/01/1997

Braking system malfunctioned, causing extended stopping distance, which almost resulted in a crash. Dealer could not determine the cause of the problem. Common problem. Also oil leak/ rear differential failure/misaligned rear right door, and rear axle shaft seal leaking.
