Eight problems related to gasoline engine have been reported for the 1999 Honda Accord. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When temperature reaches under 32f, first thing in the morning, the car was warmed up, and after driving 1/2 mile, the car shut-down and won't restart. Problem was found to be the fuel pump, According to the mechanic, he has known of at least 20 Accords from the same model 98-02, with similar problems, and it all was traced to the same manufacturer who made the fuel pumps.
Consumer states of having problems with her transmision,consumer also states that there is a recall for this metter on 2000 and 2001 vehicles already. Dealer was notified.
The vehicle started hesitating and pulling violently forward. Twice having the vehicle checked the second drum was diagnosed as the problem causing the catylic converter to go out. The problem was partially corrected by a independent mechanic. The dealer was informed of the problem. Please provide more information.
Vehicle experienceed a loud gun shot sound from dashboad area while driving. But no reason or cause could be found. Two dealer was contacted and no reason could be given.
Engine mount makes very loud clunk at start-up. Honda says in normal.
Vehicle has had continued problems with the vehicle failing to start (8 times).
Vehicle experiencing stumbling of the engine / transmission.
When driving at various speeds the engine will pause and then return to normal. The dealer has replaced the catalytic converter; however the problem still occurs. Please provide further information.
