The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle hesitated before accelerating. The accelerator pedal was applied but depressed against the floorboard but failed to increase above 25-30 mph. The failure symptoms have been becoming more frequent. The brake system, brake hold system problem (see the dealer). Electronical power system, power system refused, adaptative control system (see dealer), vehicle stability, reduced traction, and handling and hill assist the vehicle may roll warning lights, and messages were displayed. The dealer informed the contact about diagnostic testing. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. 2 Accelerator Pedal problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 05/05/2023

The contact owns a 2021 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 mph, the vehicle inadvertently decelerated. The contact veered off the roadway. The contact then stated that she carefully drove the vehicle to her residence. The contact owns a 2004 Honda Accord. While driving into a parking space with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle surged and crashed into a wall. The two front air bags deployed and the front end of the vehicle was damaged. The driver side air bag burned the driver's hand. A police report was filed. 14 Accelerator Pedal problem of the 2007 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 07/03/2007

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Accord. While driving 25 mph, the accelerator pedal began to shake. The dealer stated that the pedal accelerator assembly was loose and made the replacement. Approximately four days later, the shaking recurred. The dealer rotated the tires, but the failure continued. As of July 17, 2007, the vehicle has not been repaired. The dealer suggested that the cause of failure could be the lower steering shaft, however, the part was unavailable. The powertrain was unknown. The contact owns a 2007 Honda Accord. The contact depressed the accelerator slightly and the pedal became stuck. The contact's vehicle sped around and crashed into a parked vehicle. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to decelerate or stop. She continued to apply the brakes and the vehicle stopped abruptly. : the contact stated while applying brake pressure at various speeds, the engine revved at an accelerated rate and lurched forward without warning. This problem was intermittent in nature. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer who performed a diagnostic test which produced no failure codes, although the problem persisted. The manufacturer was notified. Updated 11/9/2006 - it was later determined that the problem was user related. Whent he brake pedal decended below the level of the accelerator pedal the consumer's foot contacted the accelerator pedal causing the engine to rev.

While releasing the brake pedal vehicle accelerated uncontrollably. Consumer was not able to maintain control of the vehicle, and it crashed into a garage wall. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection three times. However, the mechanic could not duplicate the problem. . . . . . No gas was applied. Service manager didn't attempt tofind problem and attempted no repairs. Car was then taken to anther Honda dealer who found 2 faulty parts the first time they looked at car. All four incidents were reported to second Honda dealer.

While driving 30 mph vehicle vibrated uncontrollably. Consumer applied the brake pedal and the vehicle accelerated uncontrollably. Consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and pulled over. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection.

While driving towards a parking space at 5 mph vehicle suddenly accelerated. Consumer immediately depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle didn't slow down. Vehicle stopped when it crashed into a parked vehicle and pushed the vehicle forward approximately 1 1/2 feet. Engine was still revving after the vehicle stopped while being in park with the parking brakes engaged, and consumer's foot on the brake pedal. Vehicle was towed to the dealership, but the cause of sudden acceleration was not found. Driver sustained minor injuries.

Gas pedal sticks when starting the car. Must press hard to get car in motion and then quickly let off so car will not go out of control speed wise. Usually when car has been setting for a while or cold outside. I feel it is unsafe in parking lots or anywhere people may be walking by car when this has to be done as the car "jumps" and the engin reves up. Been doing this for about a year now. Giving the last date it occurred.
