While driving 65 mph the rear passenger tire blew up. It was an experience never felt before. I felt safe driving this car until now. I took the vehicle for inspection at the dealership and they were no help. When I told them about the tire, it seem that they already knew how it happened. Immediately the manager came to check under the tire and within 30 seconds of inspection said they were not able to replace the tire because it was caused by a puncture. The manager said there is a break cable right above the tire and that is what caused the tire to rupture. Then offered to check the vehicle just in case but knew he knew they were not covering the tire. He offered me to only pay for the tire but will not charge for installation. Need help!!!.

On the 28th of may I was traveling 60 mph (the speed limit) and my back passenger tire blew out and I lost control of my car. I stopped when the back passenger corner rammed into a cement railing. The back bumper, side paneling, wheel tire and trunk hood were all damaged and needed to be replaced. I do not know what caused the tire to blowout.

Sudden side wall failure of the right front tire of my 2006 Honda Accord. The michelin tire was original equipment on the car. During low speed driving a hole about 4 inches by 3 inches blew out of the tire. It looks as if the belts are totally detached from the outside rubber of the tire. On looking on the internet I found scores of complaints about similar failures.

While driving approximately 65 mph, the driver heard a loud noise and immediately pulled over to the side of the road. She noticed that the rear driver's side tired had blown out. The contact drove to a local repair shop and they stated that the outer side wall was blown and the tire was defective. The current mileage was 9,665 and failure mileage was 9,265. While going around a corner off a highway my rear driverside tire blew out causing my car to go off the side of the road hitting a sign and causing damage to the entire driver side of my vehicle.

I have had 2 of the 4 tires I bought, new goodyear assurance separate. One blew leaving me stranded on turnpike 2 hrs. The tread was half gone with the first and 4/32 on the second. One was in July and the tire that blew was in Aug.

Tire blew out the first time we took the new Honda Accord on the interstate. The car barely had 1,300 miles on it when this happened. Two shops mentioned that Honda/michelin has had problems with these particular tires and they are now substituting a different tire. Obviously we had to purchase one new tire but now the vehicle has mismatched michelins since the original is not available anymore.

2006 Honda Accord windshield is wavy and difficult to see out of. There was also a tire blow out. The consumer contacted the dealer and manufacturer. They both claimed the wavy windshield was due to the aerodynamics.

Dear sir/madam, when my wife drove the car on local road under 50 mph, one rear tire exploded suddenly. (the road was clean). The car we have is Honda Accord 2003. The tire has 60% usage under warranty. We went to a local authorized michelin tire dealer to get it checked and replaced. The dealer checked the tired and found the side wall of the rear tire blew up. The dealer think it is a defective tire. We are scared of the michelin tire and got replaced with four new goodyear tires. We and the dealer called michelin later and they told us even though it was a defect tire, we could not get any credit/discount back on the replacement since it was another brand. But who would pick the same brand after it just blew up. We are very disappointed with the quality of the michelin tire as well as their response. Luckily the tire exploded on local road. If it were on freeway, it could be very dangerous. So we are writing to fail a complaint to you.

I have experienced 3 tire blowouts within 1 year with my michelin tires. I own a 2002 Honda Accord with only 19,000 miles & cannot believe that I have had to incur the cost of replacing 3 out of 4 brand new tires within a 1-year period. The first incident was Nov. 2002, the 2nd on oct. 2, 2003 & the 3rd on oct. 9, 2003. It appears that these tires are not manufactured up to normal safety standards since they have caused 3 blowouts from usual road hazard conditions. Michelin claims the blowouts are not covered under the warranty since the damage was due to a road hazard. Why are these high-profile & very expensive tires not manufactured to perform under normal road hazard conditions? these blowouts could have caused serious injury to my and/or others if I had been traveling at a high rate of speed and/or on a major highway. Luckily, all 3 incidents occured on local roads & I was able to pull off the road safely and call emergency road service for help. I firmly believe that michelin should be willing to reimburse me for the cost of replacing the tires, having them balanced and for the distress and anxiety I had to indure during these incidents.

While driving 60 mph the steering wheel locked up followed by a tire blowout on the rear driver side, causing the vehicle to roll over, as a result the airbags failed to deploy. The consumer suffered neck and back injuries. The cd player did not always work and experienced static.

All of the above dates and mileage are approximate. I have the information on paper at home. I have also had the hardest time with Honda financial services with them calling me and saying that I never paid my monthly bill (last fall), which I did, and then finally they found the check and said "OH, our mistake, it has been here the whole time. " and then now, I have them saying that I was in default of my lease because they never had information for my insurance, which my insurance was supposed to send them that information. I checked back with them a week later (today) and they said that they were going to impound my car because my insurance company never got back with them. Called my insurance company, and it took 5 mins. To have someone fax over proof of insurance. That was all - was it that difficult??? this car had to have the back brakes replaced after 25000 miles (about a month ago - it was making this awful noise, like rattling chains underneath) - that should not have happened. The back window tinting lifted up after 1 year, the tire blew out on the freeway 1 month after getting it (leased the car Aug 2001). The service engine light has come on twice, for no apparent reason. And the srs light was on 2 different times. Had it turned off the 1st time. Then 1 week later it was back on, brought back to my dealership and they said it was something wrong with the computer system, but they could not give me a good enough explanation. When I first was looking for a car at the dealership, this car was not on the lot where all the other cars for sale were, it was in the back, by the service department. Asked the sales rep if the car was in okay condition and he said it was, and there was nothing wrong with it because it only had 10 miles on it - I should have known then. This car is a pain in the behind and it is just a hassle for everything that keeps happening with it.

Front left tire blewout, causing harness wiring to come out of auto. Also, blewout a corner light. No injuries were sustained.

When the brakes were applied the vehicle accelerated without warning. The vehicle suddenly accelerated from 0 k. M. To 80 k. M. Within 15 feet and became stuck between two houses. The left tire blewout and the air bags deployed and cracked the windshield. The vehicle sustained damage. . Engine reved high when taking foot off gas pedal. The dealer adjusted the base idle because it was too high.

Interstate highway clear,dry road conditions in light traffic conditions. Vehicle becomes unstable, begins to swerve. Attempts to control & correct have no effect. Vehicle's front left impacts center "jersey barrier" sending the car into a counter-clockwise spin against the "jersey barrier". Ny wife suffered spinal fractures, broken nose, bruised ribs. . . . . . . 1 week hospitalization and 3 weeks rehabilitatve therapy. Injury to her spine is permanent. State police indicated at least one front tire blew-out causing the accident. None of the air bags deployed. Vehicle purchased new in October 2001.

Tire blew out and I pulled over right away to change flat. Dealer refused to contact manufacturer to inspect tire for defects. Car was literally 4 days old. (tiresize: 195/65r15).

I have had two firestone tires to blow out. The first one caused an accident. I would like to get back the money I spent having the other person's car repaired, and also get own repaired. The second blow out left me stranded on the freeway. I submitted a claim to firestone and they are refusing to honor my claim. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Tires have developed cracks in sidewall. Lf tire blew out when large portion of sidewall became detached from inner cords. Tire pressure checked at 34psi shortly before incident. No apparent damage to tire from road debris, etc. Which might explain fai (dot number: m3nx83ax50 tiresize: 185/65r15).
