All of a sudden, the accelerator pedal stopped working --- all I really know is that the car wouldn't accelerate, regardless of how much I pressed on the pedal, and the car had to roll to a stop. A bunch of warning lights came on about the brakes malfunctioning, but I don't remember if the brakes actually stopped working (I was more focused on the fact that I couldn't accelerate --- this happened right as I was starting to move after a red light turned green). Thankfully this happened when I was going slowly in a residential area --- if I had been on the freeway and unable to get over to the shoulder before the car came to a halt, this could have caused a serious/fatal accident (or if the brakes really had stopped working, even in a residential area I could have crashed into something/someone). The car remained unresponsive until I turned the whole thing off and on again, at which point it started working like normal (although still with the warnings). I took the car to my dealership and they ran diagnostics, but they couldn't find anything and couldn't reproduce the problem when they drove it around, so they just shrugged and said I should "keep an eye on it and see if it happens again". So unfortunately I don't know what caused the problem or what to inspect (but I'm certainly not going to keep driving the car and risk this happening again).

I’ve been trying to get my part replaced since August and I’ve been hundreds of dollars in between that time till now wasting money! and I’ve been told by 3 different dealerships that because I wasn’t experiencing what they considered major issues that they decided to not see me for the recall based off the information provided. I spoke with someone yesterday that I spoke to weeks ago about the same thing, and was told they didn’t have the part then when I asked to speak to a manager, he put me on hold and told me the part was in. I haven’t been able to drive my car since last Friday. It’s a huge inconvenience, as getting this part replaced would eliminate that issue I had to beg and threaten ppl jobs to get it replaced! but the amount of money I’ve wasted and fallen behind on my bills is crazy!!!!!! Honda should be cutting me check for the money loss as result so I can pay on things I had to wait on. . Or create arrangements for along with having to ask my family for help because of the money I’ve been wasting the last two months.

My 2014 Honda has been have 2 major issues over the life of the vehicle. 1. Vtc actuator - prior to the oil indicator light coming on and the time to change the oil, my car screams out a loud consistent noise. I have reported this concern to team Honda in baton rouge on numerous occasions. The most recent repost was on [xxx]. I am concerned my engine will fail or explode. 2. Tires light indicator (see pictures) my tires were check on [xxx] and I spent almost $300 on a new tire. The same light which were on on that day came back on. All 4 of my tires were checked out and 3 out of 4 of them were in good condition. This has also been an ongoing issue. The tire light random come on, then the other 5 (all related) flashed an the dashboard. My first time experiencing this was less than a month after getting my vehicle but the tires was still covered under warranty at that time. By these lights coming on during non-emergencies, the consumer can not identify when the vehicle actually needed to be serviced. Both has been ongoing and reported for years and fed up with these issues. I am surprised they have not issued a recall yet! thanks for reading this and I look forward to hearing from a Honda representative very soon. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

For the past 3-4 months it started off with shaking. Once I would try to accelerate it it would choke. Took it to the dealer ship and they had it for almost 2 months. Supposedly the engiens head gasket tend to blow for those type of cars model and year. I was called yesterday that it was ready after almost 2 months. Not 3 hours went by and the issue started to happened again. I have my kids if a accident would of happened my kids would of been injured. If it has happened to many Honda Accords 2019 1. 5 sport why not do a recall on it. It could cause my life my kids or someone else in the road.

The problem first started on 8-8-24 when I cranked up my car & the dashboard lit up with all of these different sensors. I called leith Honda dealership in aberdeen, due to that is where I take my car to be serviced at, my customer service rep (brian) stated to wait to see if they would stay on, because of that type of car will reset itself. So later on, that day they did, go away after driving it a while. Then a sensor popped up on 8-10-24 & stayed on for just a day, then came back off again. I called again & he stated to wait again so that the car can be diagnosed, but it had cut off again. So, a few days had gone by & in the middle of driving on the highway while going 60 mph, all of the same sensors came back on & the car would not go over 40 mph due to one of the main sensors stating "emission system problem. Avoid heavy acceleration & high speed. See your dealer. " along with my 21month old baby in the car! dangerous! my job (travel cna) requires me to travel from facility to facility & I need my car to be reliable. The rep said it really sounds like the recall part that is going bad in my car needs to be replaced & until it stays on sticks; there is nothing that can be done. I beg to defer! is it going to take for me to get into a car accident & jeopardize my daughter & I safety in order for the part to be replaced, after what the recall notification states that can be done while operating the vehicle. Along with the recall stating that they are only willing to replace the part for free if the car is potentially life threating or inoperable. The fact that they are taking their time replacing these parts is dangerous or mindful at all. I love my car, but I am not willing to put my daughter's life, or mine nor anyone else's life in danger by continuing driving this car and still having to pay for it. I deserve for this part & anything else that is affected, due to the part needing to be replaced. Thank you for resolving the issue.
Everytime I start my car in the cold I get all these warning messages on my dash, in this case it just let me choose 2 options but I also get auto idle stop problem, mitagation problem etc. I took it to the dealer they dont know what could be the proble. There are no recallas on this and people on forums are saying it can be a module. This is dangerous.

Getting error p2602 low voltage coolant pump. No visible sings of failure or damage to the pump or wiring. Tested power, ground, and signal and found them all to be ok. Vehicle has 133,000 miles. Engine is not running hot at all. Very cool to the touch, error p2602 causes car to go into limp mode and can not drive past 40 mph. Issue could be from pump recalls from other Honda models that used the same pump that is in the 2015 Honda hybrids. Honda did not include 2015 Honda hybrid in the recall when they should have, because its the same pump that was recalled in other Hondas. Took the car to dealer in auburn, wa, hinshaw's Honda. Please get report from them. To get a second opinion took car to an independent Honda repair. Again same issue, stating pump replacement.

Today I was driving my 2023 Honda Accord touring hybrid with 8k miles on it. Out of the blue, a bunch of warning messages / lights came on ("brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer. "; also tire warning symbol). Car automatically decelerated (wouldn't accelerate). This would have been very dangerous happening on a freeway.
Went out driving with my family, and next thing I know. I have a check engine light active, after having three diagnostic tests ran my vehicle, it was determined that it was my low pressure fuel pump is going bad. And now being notified that the high pressure fuel pump is needing a replacement. I have noticed there was a recall between the years of 2013-2017 Honda Accords. I have a 2016 with the same problems as the recall. My vehicle just barely broke fifty thousand miles.

Engine stalled out in the middle of the road immediately after acceleration following a sudden braking event. A car had pulled out in front of my vehicle at an intersection requiring a sudden brake. After the car had passed, a quick acceleration was needed as a car was quickly approaching from behind. It was at this point the engine stalled and the vehicle would not move forward. Pushing the gas pedal would not move the vehicle forward, and the engine was making a noise as the pedal was pushed. The vehicle had to be placed into park, turned off and back on, to get the engine to function and the vehicle to drive again. During this time (at least 1-2 minutes) the vehicle was stalled in the middle of an active highway, representing a significant safety risk. The vehicle was then sent to Honda for a diagnostic and there were no diagnostic codes given and the service center could not replicate the event. Was told this was not related to the active fuel pump recall on this vehicle so "there was nothing they could do" had to pay out of pocket for the diagnostic. No resolution on this safety issue. More investigation is needed into these vehicles!!.
When starting the engine and while driving at speeds of 60+mph, malfunction lamp, fcw, vsa, ldw, low tire pressure (tpms), econ mode, and eps warning lights come on and vehicles slows to 10 mph. Vehicle will remain in this condition until restarted which may or may not resolve the issue. Car will drive but not at speed desired and vehicles appears/sounds as if it is trying to change gears but cannot. The car continues to try to slow down to lower speeds.

I was driving in the rain like I have done before with no issues but on 7/7/2024 I was driving home in the rain and my car just started steering on its own and I wasn’t able to control my car and it started turning my car to the point it hit a guard rail on the highway and turn my car near the other side of the highway in the grass. My airbags d.
In the dashboard, eps (electronic power steering), vsa (vehicle stability assist), abs (anti lock brake system), and brake lights would turn on and off intermittently. The lights could turn on starting the car in the morning or after driven for some time, for short period of time - 15 minutes to long period of time - 60 minutes. When these lights are on initially, a clank could be typically heard. When driven and slowed to around 10 mph, the high-to-low whine could be heard. At low speeds, the car jerks on deaccelearation and acceleration. The car may be difficult to drive smoothly at low speeds. Obdii reader found no fault codes. Reports of other cars with simillar problem indicate issue with abs module, wheel speed sensor, and/or battery.
Every light on my dashboard is on I done took it to Honda an had the lights turned off server times still on.
Car displayed emergency brake on dash and braked while car was traveling at freeway speeds. No obstructions or cars were near vehicle to cause auto braking.
When the vehicle in front of me slows down significantly, my Accord will flash the automatic brake warning and come to a complete stop. Once stopped the vehicle does not accelerate for a few moments. Several times I’ve pressed the acceleration pedal to the floor with no acceleration, the vehicle in front of me long all while watching cars swerve behind me to not rear end me. The several times this has happened the vehicle has left me completely stopped in heavy traffic, the middle of an intersection, or lastly an empty road as the vehicle stopped for a median….
My car is always hesitating to go , sometimes it will slow considerably down and won’t go , and my engine lights pops on and starts flashing. I have to turn my car off and turn it back on. That’s very dangerous ive almost been hit like that and I have two kids!!!!!.
When driving at highway speeds the auto has started to brake and the warning brake alert flashes on the dashboard when there are no obstructions. On some occasions the brake warning light comes on even when there are no cars or traffic in front of the auto. Recently the cruise control turned off for no apparent reason.
The vehicle is stalling while driving to a point where on the freeway it slows down to 10 miles per hour to all of the sudden have all the emergency lights on that come to a sudden stop. I have called 3 different Honda dealers, they said that they need to check what is wrong with the car first making it clear that there is a fee of $220. My daughter has been driving the vehicle in very unsafe conditions. On Friday may 24th we were on our way to oakland from the ventura county (I was the passenger) and in less than an hour driving the car started stalling to come to a sudden stop on the freeway. I took the vehicle to the ocean Honda dealership the following week driving forcefully the car at 20-30 miles because we could not afford another trip on the towing truck. The service person drove the car from the parking lot to the front of the service office (less than 50 ft) and the lady said the car was in perfect condition and not one emergency light was on! I shared with them images of all the emergency lights were on in the vehicle and as well as at least 4 codes. We left the car and then they called me to notify that there was an issue with the injectors and that the vehicle was still under warranty for those parts because it is under 70,000 miles. The next day the vehicle was given back to me. I asked about the replacement of the gas pump, and they said because the vehicle is not having any issues it cannot be replaced. That night the car stopped on the freeway, I took it back and now they said it was the spark plugs. I decided to take the vehicle to a different dealership. Now at dch Honda today the injectors were replaced and the car still stalling and stopping. They recommend replacing the spark plugs ($350 they will charge) and I told them I will take it to my mechanic. They said, "but you know the car is not fixed even if they replace them". I said you are telling me this safety issue is that so what is it? nobody willing to change the gas pump!.
Driving on highway at approximately 65 miles per hour using the adaptive cruise control. Car in front of us took a right hand exit. My 2021 Honda Accord activated the braking system and applied the brakes, so I stepped on the accelerator thinking it would override the braking system. It had no effect. There were cars behind me at the time and luckily nobody was injured. I looked this up on the internet and found that it is a reported issue. That is why I am contacting you. Very concerned about the safety of my family.

2013 Honda Accord accelerated to a very high speed when driving from the church parking lot, braking did not stop it. Barely avoided hitting a car. On Sunday may 12, 2024 at around 13:45pm, as I was leaving the church parking lot, driving at around 5 miles an hour, the car suddenly accelerated to a very high speed, I tried braking but that did not stop it. The car entered and crossed the street, barely missed hitting a car, then entered the parking lot of a dollar store, finally stopping on the far side of the parking lot. No one was injured and no damage occurred. Tripple a was called immediately. Had car towed to dealership (neil huffman Honda, 1607 greentree boulevard, clarksville, indiana 47129. Car was at the dealership for two days, the car was driven, and an extensive examination was done, but they could not duplicate the concern and did not find any problems with the vehicle. When this episode occurred, there was no prior warning and the action of the vehicle was extremely fast. This was absolutely scary. Please let it be known to the Honda manufacturer that the car is defective, this defect needs to be fixed as soon as possible, before someone or multiple people are seriously injured or killed, or extensive property damage is done.
While driving on highway, dashboard lights for brakes, check engine, and tpms all came on. Unable to accelerate vehicle and pulled over to side of highway. Shut off the vehicle then started it again. Light for brake system stayed on, other lights were off. Was able to reach destination. Upon return, no lights came on and vehicle was able to be driven home.
Currently own a 2017 Honda Accord sport just over 100k miles, regularly maintained and serviced. All of a sudden my vehicle takes longer to start and the most shocking issue is that I was driving to work as normal and when I went to accelerate onto the interstate my vehicle suddenly started jerking and it seemed as though my vehicle was not getting fuel even though I was pressing the accelerator. I had to get off the interstate as I was almost hit by other vehicles merging onto the interstate. It is very frustrating that other trims of Accords are included in the recall except this model. This recall needs to be revised to reflect all models for all owners. I literally almost lost my life due to this.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 23v858000 (fuel system, gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate immediately while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that the failure was most prominent at speeds of 40 mph or above. Additionally, while driving at similar speeds, the vehicle occasionally experienced unintended deceleration. The failure occurred intermittently. The steering assistance, brake assistance, and other driving assistance systems failures were experienced. The warning lights illuminated during the failures. The contact stated that the failures had become more persistent. The dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that parts were not expected to be available until November 2024. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 77,100. Parts distribution disconnect.
Vsa modular control unit. Car breaks automatically without object in front of it.
Top right edge of shoe (taos women's startup sneaker) can be entrapped between top face of the accelerator pedal and lower edge of console trim panel, compromising car control. Seems to be shoe specific. Inspection available upon request. Problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. Problem caused by accelerator pedal/trim panel proximity and trim panel edge design. Problem has occurred twice.
At least once a month with lane keep assist on, and a vehicle in the lane to my right, an emergency braking maneuver happens automatically. I have to disconnect the system.

2022 Honda Accord is experiencing a “traction control” light turning on randomly. Following that, multiple indicators turn on which disable the functions of economy, cruise control, and other features. When the traction warning is flashing, the vehicle makes an electrical sound.
My dash is a christmas tree, been to 3 shops. Many codes are popping up ans showing needs turbocharger. Honda wants almost 3000 to fix. Drives fine but so many lights. I have tons of codes popping up. So many other car owners with same issue.
Cruise control will apply brakes when lane ahead is clear. This happens multiple times per trip, every trip. Automatic emergency braking way too aggressive. Has nearly caused me to be rear ended twice. I try to remember to disable it every drive. I wish I could permanently disable it.
I received a letter in the mail stating that my fuel injections had a recall. 2024 Feb-Mar. Letter stated that I would not be able to get it fit until the fall because Honda parts were backed up. At about may all my dash board lights were on, check engine, tps, tire pressure. I assumed it was from the recall. At that time I had about 120,000 or 130,000 on my car, I'll have to check my oil change reports. Nov 2024 I was finally about to get my fuel injection fix, per the dealership. Lights were still on afterwards. Now February 2025, I get it check out, I need a new turbo and an engine because my gasket has blown. About December of 2024 I noticed I had issues with accelerating. My car jerks causing me some safety issues. This is my only car. I am afraid to drive it.
Battery turned off car was really load when I started it and later when drive the car didnt slow down like normal.
On 1/24/24, we were driving at about 65 mph. With no warning, fcw, ldw, abs, tire pressure and check engine lights as well as fcw system failure reported on dash. The car slowed to about 20-25mph and sounded rough. Cars behind were going with speed of traffic (about 65) and had to break behind us and were honking their horns at us despite emergency flashers on. We pulled over and turned off engine for a few minutes. We turn engine back on and warning lights were off and we could drive normally again. We thought it was a glitch. About three weeks later on 2/21/24, we were on a highway pass over mountain traveling about 65mph. The lights came on again and car slowed again to about 25mph. This was very dangerous on a pass with many cars accelerating around us on the uphill part of the pass. We had to pull over again. We turned engine back on but fcw and ldw lights remained on. We were able to drive normally again. When we got home, I took the car to a mechanic who did a diagnostic test and replaced the high pressure fuel pump. The fcw and ldw lights remained on as well as notification of fcw system failure. The mechanic said he did not have recalibration equipment and I would have to go to Honda dealer for recalibration. I have an appointment on 3/6/24 with Honda for recalibration. I have since gone online and see many Honda owners are having this occur with various fixes but the problem has recurred for many owners. This is very dangerous and needs to be addressed ASAP before a collision occurs and possible death of those involved as a result.
On Tuesday evening, December 19, 2023, while driving at highway speeds, the following message appeared on my digital display: brake system brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer. Other system messages began to appear, including, I believe, concerning the steering. More important, the car immediately went into a “limp mode“ with the speed dropping to 20 miles an hour, and then further down to as slow as 2 mph. Fortunately, I was not far from an exit and at the exit I pulled off the exit ramp onto the grass. I then shut the engine off and restarted it immediately. I was able to get back onto the exit ramp, but the initial message quickly reappeared and I was able to make it home driving between 10 and 15 mph. The next day the car was towed to the dealer who advised me that the issue was resolved by updating the software. At no point, did I ever receive a message or other indication that a software update was needed. The car has fewer than 5000 miles on it. The safety issue results from my being forced to drive at a very low speed while still on the highway. I independently did some online research and discovered that this type of issue has happened before with both this model and other Honda hybrids.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle began to jerk. The vehicle failed to move forward. All the instrument lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the spark plug was cracked. The vehicle was replaced, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the head gasket was cracked. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified who opened a case, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 112,000. The contact stated that the failure was related to 23v858000 (fuel system, gasoline).
