Body: underneath part came unsecured out of nowhere on my collage daughters car. It was scary for her as it scraped bottom and rattled out of no where on highway. She stopped and since nothing on hand, she had to push it up with feet and it bent to hold till she got to shop. They quick fix with zip tie or something. Someone hit her from back and she took to shop. I mentioned it that some noise coming after the fix and was supposed to to bring it to them this week. It just rattled but nothing else. Drivable still. Than middle of no where, that bottom popped again and she panicked. It was Sunday so no one is open. I had to have her park at work and pick her up which is an hour away. This is very dangerous as when we googled, this has happened to soooo many Honda Civic owners! need to do recall and fix this issue for good. It’s underneath the car so hard to tell till it drops to flow. We love the car but this issue is greater. Also, she has tire sensor light always comes up. We got new tires also!.

I bought this car from a Honda dealership in cincinnati. I searched for this specific year and color. It had about 48k miles on it when I got it. I have only put on 14k miles now. I purchased the warranty. After a year of owning it. My paint on the plastic pieces started to chip off. The mirror is nearly completely paintless, and the door handles look bad as well. I have been trying to work with Honda. The dealership recognized this was an issue with this color. There is a class action for the white as well. The Honda dealership said Honda corporate should do something about it since I haven't had this car very long. Honda corporate came back and told me that they would have only covered it in the year of 2020 which is silly because the car is a 2020. I purchased it at the end of 2023. So as soon as I got this off of the lot I was screwed essentially. I told them that I haven't even put that many miles on the car and they said it didn't matter. Online everywhere talks about the issues with the paint chipping on the plastics and they refuse to recognize it. I was quoted over 1000 to fix the more serious issues but another 400 more to fix everything and that was just for the parts and not the labor. The dealership service manager at Honda recognized this was a problem but corporate doesn't want to do anything about it. The issue started happening a year after I purchased it. I haven't even owned it for a full two years. Not even 14k miles on it since my purchase. Purchased the warranty and they refuse to help.

I took my vehicle to the dealer after receiving the first recall notice. They inspected it and informed me that my car was not part of the recall, so they returned it to me. However, I continued to receive recall letters and communications from attorneys regarding the issue. According to the dealer, my car was in good condition. Despite this, I recently noticed unusual movement in the steering wheel, which ultimately caused me to crash into a concrete pole.

The paint chips off and scratches too easily which is apparently known by others. The lack of paint can cause issues with the environment and cause the car to rust.
The paint has started peeling. For a 2018 car and maintained regularly, this is not acceptable.

Paint is coming off the car down to the metal. The paint has been recalled on other Honda vehicles. Paint #nh788p. . Several areas where paint has come off when driving on highways behind other vehicles.
The car gets wet in the floor area after it rains. Took to dealer and said it was p/s issue. The car is 5 years old, yet now there is mold on the floor carpet due to the water damage.
My paint has been coming off for a while now and now I have serious rust issues. I have gone in for inspection at the local Honda dealership and they recommended for me to contact Honda of America. I contacted them and they said that there was nothing that they could do. I shouldn't have to fork out money for a bad paint job. My car is rusting. Please help me.
Paint and finish bubbling and peeling on hood, roof, some on trunk. In the worst spots paint is worn away down to the metal, creating rusting hazard. On hood, peeled paint can blow onto the windshield, interfering with vision and distracting the driver. Vehicle has been inspected by a usaa insurance adjuster and by rudolf body and paint in el paso, TX.
Our Honda Civic is white. On the right rear quarter panel where the rear window glass meets the quarter panel. The paint is bubbling, flaking and pealing off.
Due to a faulty malfunctioning manufactured back up camera and front dashboard display, my sister backed into another car while parallel parking, resulting in a damages on the paint of the back bumper and further indentation. Additionally this issue happens all of sudden no matter what the weather condition or temperature outside is which increases the risk of a crash with vehicle behind or injury to a pedestrian. I have proof of this happening and it seems forums online have reported this issue to.
These vehicles have major paint issues. I experienced the paint flaking off the side back panel near the window and had to go through a somewhat annoying process to have the dealer look into it. After I had this issue I looked online to see if anyone has this same problem and it came to my attention that it is a nationwide issue that is not being addressed. Here is a link of other people who have experienced this issue, [xxx] . The paint is too thin and loses it's clear coat easily then the color breaks and flakes off. I honestly believe this is a manufacture defect as so many cars are affected with the exact same issue. Now my car paint is peeling near the top of the window and I would like an investigation done. I have taken very good car of the vehicle, hand washes and it only has 15k miles. I paid over 28k for this car and didn't expect the paint to be so thin or poor. Please help myself and the many others that are having this issue by formally opening an investigation. I appreciate your time and your assistance. I was stopped at a stoplight and the car ahead of me moved up slightly so I took my foot off the brake. I did not accelerate by pressing the gas pedal and I was going approximately 1-2 mph. Car in front of me slammed on their brakes and I tried to depress my brake and the brake alert signal inside the car started flashing, but it was a delayed reaction and the air bags in the steering wheel and below my feet by my legs deployed as I braked. There was no damage to the other car and a bumper gap occurred on my car and the air bags deployed and seatbelts locked in my vehicle. I barely touched the other car. Air bags malfunctioned by deploying at no real impact, air bag cut my hand, seatbelts were all replaced in vehicle, air bags replaced, bumper replaced, air bag sensor replaced.
The paint on my Honda Civic 2017 began peeling off the back window of my vehicle starting in 2022. I've since then paid to have it repaired, but now peeling is starting to occur on other places of the vehicle, such as the front hood, the fender, and the bumper. Honda has already admitted that a manufacturing issue involving the paint on the back window has been reported. This peeling problem is becoming too expensive to handle and Honda will not extend the paint warranty beyond the 3-year time frame. This is a serious issue as having too much of the car body exposed with lead to rusting.
There is paint just falling off the drive door in large chucks, and still getting worse.
As I attempted to turn my steering wheel to exit interstate I-90 east, the steering wheel became increasingly hard to control and I heard a popping noise in my front driver side tire. My vehicle slid into the curb, resulting in the front driver side fender damage, tire damage, axel damage, and 3 deployed airbags. The vehicle’s electric power steering failed and it is available for inspection. Both mine and my mom’s safety were at risk, however no injuries occurred. I have not received a recall notice at all and the vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the power steering issue before this occurred.
I was driving on the freeway traveling about or higher than 65 mph with high wind resistance (my opinion) when the front lower bumper shield started dragging under the vehicle causing to pull over in high traffic with my kids. Upon my own investigation the front lower bumper seem to rip and fold down ward causing it to drag.
Have a faulty windshield that crack for no reason because no rock or anything hit it.

Paint on car is starting to crack and peel.
When jacking car to change tire, the lift point crumbled due to corrosion causing the car to fall back to the ground. There was no obvious evidence of extreme corrosion; it rusted from the inside. It is unknown how much more structural rust is inside the unibody but the car may no longer be safe for the road.
Driving the car home at 6pm on a highway, and heard a loud pop sound, but there were no rocks or objects hitting the vehicle. It turn out that the sunroof glass had exploded from the center for no reason. I am only glad the sunroof was not in use/open at the time, otherwise, the shattered glass will definitely lead to some serious consequences.
Bumper loose, no a/c only for first day! car shakes at stop. Low power when pressing gas peddle.
Paint on roof is peeling off near rear window.
Paint chips easily for no reason. Car was purchased in Jan 15th of 2024. First occurrence was 3/23/24 and have more chips since then.
The paint is peeling around the back window. Down to the primer/metal. I first noticed it around 3/15/2022. It first started to bubble. Now it's flaking off. The color of the vehicle is modern steel metallic.
Rear hatch holds water inside after rain.

The front windshield glue holding it on the car has failed. The windshield can be pushed out completely with only a pinky finger. This should not happen and is very dangerous. This windshield could of came off easily from sudden stopping or collisions and caused serious bodily injury to the driver. Safelite auto glass came out to inspect and replace the window due to this defect. They stated it is a factory installed front windshield and they had never seen anything like it. The windshield started coming off less than a week ago. There were no warnings. We knew there was a problem when we heard wind sound coming in while driving. I have tried to upload a pdf documentation, but the website will not let me upload it.
2017 Honda Civic paint falling off in large chunks.
Rear hatchback fills internally with water and only drains when tailgate is raised. Standing water and freeze/thaw cycle has potential to damage electrical components (taillights, rear camera, license plate light, rear defroster, rear wiper). This issue has been confirmed by Honda dealer, but they have been unable to fix it after 3 attempts.
Paint and trim are deteriorating and deformed, melting, disintegrating in 9 areas of 3 sides of the car. The car is only 1 year old. Both front mirrors are melting and deformed and mirrors difficult to adjust now. Bumper trim is melting and deformed. Windshield molding is curling up and deformed. Paint is bubbling up around these areas. Dealer inspected it and confirmed the damage and said Honda knows about since 2019 and this is happening to newer Hondas it but will not do anything about it. We are concerned about the integrity of the windshield to keep air and water out and front bumper integrity with the deformed plastic trim over it. We have pictures and videos, but your website upload function is not working.
Trunk will open seemingly at random. Occurs while driving, parked, turned off, etc. Widespread problem as it has been reported on multiple car forums, all with the same response from dealers; can’t reproduce issue or they don’t know what’s wrong.
I have noticed that the paint on my Honda Civic 2017 is flaking and peeling off. The issue is most apparent on the side of the rear view glass and near the right-side tail light which seems to be worsening over time. It was my sister’s car before she gave it to me. She took care of it before she passed away and now I’ll continue to take good care of her car and have not had any repainting or significant damage in the affected areas that I know of. This seems to be an issue with the paint adhering properly, and I am concerned about further damage, including potential rust which I’m starting to notice. I kindly request that Honda evaluate this as a possible manufacturing defect and let me know if it can be addressed under warranty. Attached are photos of the affected areas for your review. Please let me know the next steps to resolve this issue.
Sticky steering when travelling above 25mph--both driving straight and in a turn. Must over-correct to compensate for sticky electronic steering. Trunk/hatch leaks water.
