5 Horn Assembly problem of the 2010 Honda Civic

Failure Date: 08/01/2016

My car horn to honk is not working. I replaced the fuse and it won't work. This is very dangerous!! I can't warn cars that are about to crash into me that I'm there. I can't prevent accidents without honking. Some cars don't see me in there blind spots. I feel like if someone crashes into me Honda will be part at fault bc the horn doesn't work. I received a recall letter from Honda saying the air bags are being recalled. I think the horn situation should be investigated bc the horn and the airbag are located in the same place. My horn malfunction before but it had gotten fixed by itself.

6 Horn Assembly problem of the 1997 Honda Civic

Failure Date: 05/15/2016

"takata recall" my airbags went off when I was turning and went over a a bump, and cracked my windshield really bad on the passenger side. The srs red light had been on for quite some time before this. When this occurred it blew a fuse and I had to have it towed. I did not file a police report because I only have liability insurance for the car so insurance did not need it. I have also had problems with the wiring and the cruise control would not work and would honk the horn when I tried to use it.

7 Horn Assembly problem of the 2013 Honda Civic

Failure Date: 03/13/2016

All 9th generation Civics are equiped with stock under powered horns. Saftey issue, since other cars won't hear it to avoid a collision. Some dealers offer a horn upgrade, but the labor would be costly due to the fact that the bumper cover has to be removed and re installed.

8 Horn Assembly problem of the 2002 Honda Civic

Failure Date: 02/07/2012

I bought this car from a used car dealer. The horn works intermittently about 10% of the time. I was nearly run off the road on several occasions since then because I could not honk at people drifting into my lane. I have spent over $300 investigating this issue and replacing parts that I was told were the culprit. I do not know where else to turn. This is a serious safety issue, and it should be a recall with all Hondas/acuras since they all use the same assembly.

2008 Honda Civic. Horn does not always sound. Sometimes works with first attempt, but sometimes takes as many as 12 or more attempts. Have taken to dealer various times. They have not diagnosed nor repaired the problem. What happens when a child runs in front of my moving car and I cannot sound the horn-as an example?.

12 Horn Assembly problem of the 2001 Honda Civic

Failure Date: 01/01/2008

My horn stopped working and my srs light came on about a year and a half ago. The dealer originally told me it had to do with the wiring. . . Costing me $300 which I could not afford to repair. I took the car in for the air bag recall and now they are saying the srs light is on because of a defect in the seat belt buckle ($200)- but why would that make my horn stop working? there are a lot of complaints and this needs to be recalled as this is incredibly unsafe and obviously widespread!!! Honda also needs to recall the transmission problems. I had fought them and they paid for half of the repair costs when my transmission dangerously and quickly went out in the middle of traffic during rush hour about three years ago. These are major safety issues!! unfortunately I cannot afford the repairs but I am scared to drive the car with the srs light on. I bought this car because of the supposed reliability and cheap maintenance. It is ridiculous that Honda is not taking car of the srs light problem and transmission problem!!!.
