1 Radiator Hose problem of the 2016 Honda Civic

Failure Date: 08/07/2019

I have issues that have been reported previously and while the vehicle was under warranty. Now that the warranty is out the problem has been more severe. The 1st problem is the display for the radio, heating and cooling and the speed display has been effected some but not like the radio and cooling/heating display. It has gone blank, it has froze up. It has lost all functioning. The 2nd is the air compressor. It has a leak and apparently this is an issue with a lot of the tourings. People have replaced them and had the same issues. The displays have had problems both in drive modes and parked. I have googled on how to fix those issues and we have disconnected the battery to do the same. The cooling/heating system cools some times but not all the time.

2 Radiator Hose problem of the 2001 Honda Civic

Failure Date: 12/20/2018

Engine and cooling system. Every part of the cooling system was checked and replaced including thermostat, water pump, timing belt, radiator, and all hoses. After running several diagnostic tests the car was showing no codes but would still overheat at times causing terrible situations on the highways. Please fix this.

3 Radiator Hose problem of the 2012 Honda Civic

Failure Date: 03/26/2012

We bought the Honda Civic in Feb 2012. Drove about 1000 miles. One day I feel little hesitation in third gear. I open the hood to just check, and found the water all over the engine compartment and hood liner was wet and soggy. I was surprize and worryed thought cooling system busted or loose hose clamp. But after tharough checkup found that rain water seep thru between front hood lip and grill. I told my wife not to drive the car, it's not safe, because water can damage the electric component and may cause fire. So I dry the engine area as much as I could. Setup the appointment with Honda dealer. First of all the service suppervisor did not belive, and then she check couple of other cars same model and year, and found that all the cars are the same design nothing missing. She suggest to call the Honda manufacture. I asked for the work order, she said there is no problem so no work order need to fillup. I talk to sale person about all this; he said the same. I was very disappointed. I ask for the service manager; and show him the car and problem; he said the same to call manufacture. But atleast he agreed to write the work order. That consumer complaint this, and we could not find any problem. As per consumer the rain water get in to engine compartment and wet the hood liner and other electric equipment and plugs.

4 Radiator Hose problem of the 2001 Honda Civic

Failure Date: 07/21/2001

In requesting a quote for car insurance, a link was provided to the NHTSA website for those wishing to see if their vehicle has/had been recalled. For the heck of it, I decided to try it. To my shock, I discovered there have been 5 recalls associated with the 2001 Honda Civic since 2001(seat belts; fuel system/fuel pump; and engine & engine cooling). It is now 2003, and I have never received one notification. The system did not specify if these recalls are related to the ex model, which is what I have. However, the thought that the recalls are related to my vehicle has me seriously concerned and needless to say very frustrated at the thought that I would not be contacte by Honda.
