*****both key transponders were responsive to the car today, ie green key light lit when both keys were inserted and turned to turn on the vehicle allowing the car radio and windows to be controlled, unlike other days where fraud occurred so that the car would not recognize both and only one or the other***** unidentified party, most likely remotely, stole control of my vehicle through manipulating non factory installed equipment that was installed after market and using factory installed equipment in a manner not openly discussed with the purchaser and owner. If it’s the police again or the manufacturer/ dealership or any court, has never disclosed or notified ownership or responsibility of such activities for now ten years. Spoke to manager again to inform that vehicle was again manipulated in retaliation to returning the gym when no open discussion occurred or report was received about not continuing a relationship between 24 hour fitness and myself as a member. Female onsite manager received reports that vehicle would not turn on again due to security alarm restriction, not mechanical failures, and that such activity was ongoing activity in furtherance of other abuses related to visiting that gym, such as vehicle and locker searches, which although not communicated to the manager, never resulted in further contact by the police or any authority regarding its occurrence.

I started the vehicle. Monitor screen was all black (radio/ ac control panel). Turned car off to see if screen would reset. I tried button to see if side turn camera would turn on or reset issue. It did not. Drove 26 miles screen all black. No side turn blinker. No radio. Parked restarted car 4 more times. Screen still all black. Error code appeared stating �dalauncher isn't responding. Touch screen panel that controls the entire settings of the car over heats and blocks out making it very uncomfortable and upsetting not being able to control your /c settings or your radio and your phone. We have taken our 2016 Honda Civic touring that same year back multiple times in regards to this issue. However every time we took it they would replace it. Since then the touch screen panel has some what worked properly to the point where it was just slow in functioning but workable. This time on June 27, 2019 it has completly done the same thing we were facing in the beginning and this is stationary and in motion, I have tried resetting it by disconnecting the battery and joining cables together and it just didnt work it continues to not work properly since day of purchase. I would like for some one to help us resolve this issue and to replace our panel for a good working one.

Noticed my VIN number looks different and my settings for radio, wallpaper, usb and phone dash board has changed after my ex-husband took car supposely to get oil change.

I had to repair a known headlight issue for 2003 Civics. The lights stopped working on dim, and the wires had completely melted as described in the recall information for affected Civics. My VIN is not listed as part of the recall. Also, my gear selector can be accidentally placed into neutral without pressing a brake or button on the knob. For example, my daughter reached to change the radio station, and accidentally hit the gear selector. The car shifted to neutral (automatic transmission) without pressing of break or button. We were in motion, and at first, I thought something was wrong with the car, and I looked down to realize it had been placed into neutral. This has happened several times on accident. I purchased this vehicle in 2003 brand new from a Honda dealership, and I am the only owner.

Dealership (spreen Honday of redlands California) failed to complete airbag repair (damaged other parts during "repair") and Honda of America won't get involved to resolve the issue. Dealership damaged integrity of dash by hacking out an unseen section as shortcut, used duct tape for electrical wiring, and left a piece of dash padding in my ac system. This was discovered June 2018 when changing cabin air filter.

Sir/MA'am, I would like to address somewhat safety problem that many Civic have. Honda Civic has a center touch screen that controls radio, temperature and importantly shows rear view camera and right side camera. Today the center screen didn't even turn on and wasn't able to see an object rear and underneath of my car due to the screen not turned on. It is known issue for Civic community. I wish that NHTSA take a look into this issues.

My key would come out of the ignition while not in park, the vehicle sometimes does not fully go into park unless forcefully pulled back into park so sometimes the vehicle wouldn't be in park all night or while in public parking lots. My Honda made key had to go into the ignition facing perfectly one way to start the car then the ignition completely refused the key and wouldn't turn once it accepted it. While I was trying to get my key to turn the ignition the car, in a public gas station parking lot, was not even in park even though I was completely able to turn the car off and take the key out of the ignition. My ignition no longer turns at all, I've already checked that the chip in my key is still functioning properly. Police officers tried to help me correct the issue without any success. The electrical system is now also acting up since this incident the radio flashes instead of staying on, I am now unable to change the time on the radio clock and my interior lights had to be removed because they refused to shut off.

Hi, I purchased 2016 Civic in Dec, 2015. I I have experience 3 issues till now 1. Electronic brake - I have had 2 incidents where my electronic parking brake engaged automatically while driving, luckily was driving in city at lower speeds. But last week, was driving on interstate, stopped to fill gas - turned engine on, brake was engaged. Would not respond to the brake switch. Had to keep trying for a min or two before I was able to turn it off. 2. Sudden resistance - have experience this quite frequently, need more acceleration to get the vehicle into motion mainly at traffic stops. 3. Car radio - my model is equipped with all touch sensitive buttons. Power button on radio mostly do not respond.

I leased the Honda Civic 2016 at woodland hills Honda. It was after leasing date, within 24-48 hours time, I returned to the car dealership to explain that I did not have an understanding that the Honda Civic 2016 did not come with a cd player and only offered an auxiliary cord outlet to work the entire sound system by my cell phone. The car dealership explained that they were unwilling to help me with a new car unless I wanted to pay more money but I could not get a new car at the same price. I argued for months with the dealership that being forced to work the audio system and run my maps for navigation through my cell phone posed a serious threat of distracted driving. The car is built in such a way, that the driver is only given an option to use the cell phone to operate audio and navigation. The way that the car is built, without the cd player, and only an auxiliary cord to plug into my phone to work the sound system interface conflicts with the California anti-texting law vc 23123. 5. Being forced to work my sound system and maps for navigation on my cell phone is the same spirit as to what and why this is against the law. It is distracted driving. Salesmen are not clearly explaining that you are buying a car with no cd player and you need to work your music from your cell phone. There is also more confusion at the point of sale because there are other cars that come with both the aux cord and also the cd player such as the Honda accord 2016 pilot for example. When I purchased the vehicle, I believed I was buying a car with both the aux cord and the cd player. Later, is when I learned, I leased the vehicle with only the aux cord option. I requested to end my contract on numerous occasions as I believed the car was a police magnet. I don't want to drive a car that makes me do something to attract officers. This is a safety and legal concern. Ticketed on 8/31/16.

Letter from consumer to cliff collier, general manager of howdy Honda, regarding issues with his daughter, Honda Civic purchased on January 29, 2016. The consumer stated the vehicle belongs to his daughter. Two days after purchasing the vehicle, the radio, and navigation system would start and stop on its own, and the only fix was turning the car off and back on again.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic ex and I take really good of my car, the paint on top is fading to the metal, I see this is a problem for a lot of Honda Civic's. Also I am having major electrical problems, awhile ago my horn randomly stopped working and then 5months later started working again, then my passenger window wont roll up or down half the time, the lights where my stero is stopped working and now the buttons on the radio or on my steering wheel are working, when I turn my heat/ac up or down it messes with my headlights. I had all the fuses checked and they are just fine. Wondering if anyone else is having electrical problems and if there is a recall!!! I love Honda but I am to the point where I want to get a different car and not go with Honda.

I was hit on the passenger side of the car by an SUV. The repairs were with genuine Honda parts but ever since then the front controls where the radio is has been extremely hot. Almost to the point I think I burn my hands to change the radio station. I think it may be hot enough to start a fire with melting the controls in the back. I have been told there is nothing that can be done or it will cost me a lot of money to diagnose it. I just see it as a safety issue to have the dash so hot it burns people. The passenger airbag did not deploy in the crash and possibly should have.

Vehicle's audio/radio not working. 65, 000 miles, one owner. Radio switches to and from different outputs. Only way to stop this from occurring is to shut radio off. Once problem starts, it will happen more and more frequently until screen dims out and radio shuts down.

Hello, I have a 2009 Honda Civic. Evry time I drive it for more then an hour or so, the gear shift base where the n,rf etc is written, gets hot. Also, the instrument panel where the cd player is gets really hot. The dealer tells me it is ok, there is no problem. I find it hard to believe as I don't want to be on the hwy with my family and the car catches on fir or something. How could this be normal. Please help.

The radio antenna (located in the rear window defroster) is nothing but static. I live in a major metropolitan area and can not get one radio station to come in clearly. I've had the radio replaced and by the dealer when the car was under warranty with no luck. There is no static with cd's - only radio (fm mostly). Wiring in rear defroster/radio is compromised. Honda service dealerships have not been helpful in resolving this issue or informing me of what the issue was.

Consumer's 2004 Civic pulled left. Accelerator would not engage when depressed and the vehicle would make a sudden jump. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but the were unable to determine the cause of the problem. The consumer also experienced problems with the vehicle's stereo and gear system. The dealer repair the loose wire but the stereo's sound is affected when the vehicle hits bumps in the road. The consumer was told that the gear shift was replaced. The rubber seal on the windshield popped up. The paint on the back fender started to flake. The brake began to make noise even after the vehicle was parked.

My 2001 Honda Civic ex srs light came up last week. This car had lot of issues since I bought in 2000 December 1. Radio replaced 1 month after purchase. 2. Right front side wheel bearing was replaced within 6 months under warranty. It failed again in 2005. I had it replaced again in 2005 for $500. 3. Side airbag light reset within 2 years. It came back again in 2000. The dealer doesn't know what is causing the problem. Its going to cost me $600 to replace the sensor. 4. Front side windows get stuck and don't roll up properly in cold weather. In 2003 dealer replaced the motor for $600 but still doesn't work. 5. Replaced front struts in 2006 6. Power steering pump failed in 2006 will cost me $500 to replace. 7. Srs light came up and stays on in 2006. Don't know what it will take to get this repaired. Overall I think 2001 Civic is a piece of junk.

Vibration in steering wheel 14 service repair attempts from new moldy musty moldy smell coming from air conditioner a/c vents makes me cough . 1 service repair attempt hazy, film on rear window impairs visibility. 2 service repair attempts (from new). Radio hissing and static when rear window defroster, is on 5 service attempts (from new). Premature wear of seat upholstery loose electrical accessory outlet on dash 1 service repair attempt (from new) original floor mat wore through completely in less than one year noisy drivers seat tear in carpet under driver's seat 1 service repair attempt (from new) paint unercoat hanging from bottom of car 1 service repair attempt (from new) noisy clutch pedal TSB 02002 two service repair attempts resolved at 2nd squeak rattle in dash.

The air bag light illuminated on the dash board, the dealer replaced the part, however the light illuminated again. The occupancy position detector system was replaced, the rear defroster and cruise control was inoperative, there was a loud clunk noise while driving and on turns, the radio was inoperative, the back window was replaced along with the antenna, the fog light switch was loose, the brake light had gone out, there was a rattle in the rear seat, the fuel cap was loose, there was a vibration in the steering wheel, and the trunk lid did not close. While traveling approximately 25 to 30 mph and making a turn, engine stalled and caused steering column to lock up. This problem did not result in a crash or injuries. Dealership examined vehicle for engine stalling, but has failed to remedy the problem. While driving, consumer heard a metal to metal sound coming from right wheel well. Consumer was told computer was not set properly according to the VIN code, this was a service bulletin, dealer stated this could be why stalling was occurring, 4 fuses blew and now dealer replaced fuse box, dealer thinks this may be a reason why the vehicle stalled also, dealer also states that he does not know why the fuses blew to begin with, the blown fuse caused moonroof to be inoperable. Vents loose. Trunk release inoperable. Springs squeak and were replaced. Defective weld in the passenger side door rusted. Vehicle experiences rough idle. Driver side tweeter cracking. Driver side mud flap loose. Passenger kick panel uneven. Fuel gauge erratic.

The antenna does not slide down into the vehicle as stated at the Honda dealership, due to this problem the antenna broke off during car washing.

Wind noise can be heard inside the vehicle, the dealer resealed the windshield molding, noise while braking, faulty ecm fuse caused the vehicle to stall while stopped, rattle in dash, dealer replaced the felt tape between the air ducts and vents, cd player skips and was replaced, faulty front spring caused noise in the front end, both left doors leak, the drivers seat is loose at the track, a ripped seal caused the sunroof to leak, steering wheel not centered. Radio needs to be recoded frequently in order to operate. Dealer promised replacement in two to four weeks. After 5 weeks I called dealer to learn they would not honor their promise. Dealer said Honda informed the dealer that more research was being done and no there is no solution.

I have had a total of 5 cd players in stalled, still no working radio! I have also been shocked several times and my car was pulling to the right 2 days after purchase when taken back to the dealer they said it was just a light weight car!.

When playing the tape player it tears up the tape, took to dealer to fix it and did not know the tape doesn't work .
