I bought this car brand new in 2018. Now it has 7,000 miles. My a/c unit doesn't work. Blows hot air. After looking into this online, there are hundreds of people having the same problem including my son. I don't know what to do now. As makes crackling noise as I turned on the a/c. Please help.

Front windshield get cracks very easy, after getting a small stone chip.
The ac vents started to make clicking noises as something was inside of the vent. Then, the ac unit would blow hot air on one side of the cabin and moderately cold on the other. Two days later the vents would blow hot air on the hottest setting. After getting the unit and car checked out, the ac compressor was cracked. The car is with the original owner and hasn't been through any accidents so for it to crack is very strange. Looking up forms, my vehicle is not the only one that this has happened to. Multiple vehicles across multiple states have had this issue happen around 37-42,000 miles. After brining this up to Honda corporate, they stated the condenser will have a recall, but the compressor is okay which doesn't make sense because many people are using outside services to fix their vehicles and Honda will not recall the part. They produced a bad batch of parts that were placed on their cars and now want the owners to pay for it instead of resolving the issue.

While driving I reached up to pull the driver side visor down to block the sun glare. As the visor came down it made a cracking sound. After stopping and placing visor back up an in place. I learned it had broke on the first use. Now the visor will not stay in place and sometimes swings and restrains my view as a driver. This is a odd occurence, or a detected product.

My rear tire went flat. The tire is cracked and air is escaping. New car bought only two months tires should not be cracking.
As I was pulling out of my driveway at night (the car had been sitting there all day), I heard a crackling sound and noise coming out of the rooftop. I stopped right away, got out of the car to see a big hole in the center of the moonroof glass panel. The glass fell on the on the inside roof slider (which luckily was closed). The moonroof glass panel was intact and not damaged from the prior drive. It just disintegrated on its own as I was pulling out of the driveway, and clearly not the result of a road hazard/impact as Honda/dealership asserted (even though I told them the circumstances under which this happened).
Engine block crack leaking antifreeze and car won't go over 5 mph.

Driving normally when a sudden & very loud bang/crack was heard and I immediately felt small glass bits falling on me. Immediately pulled over and saw that the sunroof had exploded upwards towards the sky with a large hole in the center and a much smaller hole on the drivers side. Incident occurred while driving westbound on e northwest hwy between town north dr & abrams rd (dallas, TX 75231). No objects found in the car that would imply a foreign object hitting the vehicle. No bridges were driven under when incident occurred.

Incident occurred 11-Dec 2017 commuting into work at around 6:45 am on the highway going about 60 mph. Clear skies, 42, no trucks nearby, moderate car traffic. Sunroof shattered. The sunroof was closed, the sunroof cover was open. There is no evidence of being hit with an object. The cracks are not radiating from a single point, but are random. Glass is bowing outwards, although not yet completely breached as of 8 am. Structural integrity is completely compromised though, only a matter of time before the sunroof completely collapses on itself.
Abnormal cracked and peeling paint on the hood, roof and trunk. Honda is aware of this problem and issued an extension but has never provided a notification to owners affected by this known issue. I am now one year past due and only found out there was an issue when my local body shop advised me to call.

Cracks in the engine motor behind the exhaust manifold and near the ignition which is causing a serious coolant leak. Plus, the a/c in the car won't start, but heat works.

On August 31, 2017 while I was driving on the highway, the car stopped running and smoke came out of the hood suddenly. Fortunately I managed to pull over the car to a safe place immediately beside the highway otherwise I would have been in a fatal situation. I had the car towed to the dean Honda at pittsburgh where they performed the diagnosis to find the root cause of the problem. They identified that there was crack in the engine block which has caused the coolant to leak from the engine and hence overheating of the engine has happened. They told me that the engine has to be replaced and few other parts as well (like spark plug etc. ) to make the car running again which would cost me around $4000. I did some research over the internet regarding this issue and found that most of the 2006 to 2009 Civics had the engine crack issue and TSB 10-048 was issued and the warranty of such engines were extended to 10 years and that would cover the replacement of the engine if such issues are found. I checked with my service consultant at dean Honda if this would be covered under the extended warranty. He did a VIN inquiry and said the warrant has expired 10 days ago and this won't be covered. (the original purchase date of the car was 22-Aug-2007 and this incident happened to me on 31-Aug-2017). This is a big blow to me. This is my first car in the us. I bought this car as the second owner in July 2015 with only 36000 miles on it and I have hardly driven 15000 miles over the past two years without any issues. The previous owner also never had any issues with it and that's why I purchased it with confidence. Considering customer's safety, these engines needs to be recalled by Honda and replaced with new ones or at least the warranty of these engines needs to be extended further (for at least for 5 more years). I was lucky enough to survive a fatal accident.
While driving at a normal highway speed, with all windows rolled up, a/c on, the rear passenger side window exploded. This was on a well paved, straight piece of highway. There were no other cars around, driver was in the far-right lane, and there was no evidence of foul play, cracks, chips or breakage in the window prior to this happening. Glass blew all over the back seat and there are just a few pieces of glass still hanging where the window once was. This was a frightening experience and had this been a front window, it could have been extremely serious. Cause is unknown.

I own a 2009 4 door Honda Civic. I bought it in December 2009. Among some other problems, including the airbags, in 2012 the driver side sun visor developed a crack and then felt apart. I took it to Honda dealer and they replaced it free of charge, but now the same replacement have developed the same identical crack and the metal parts are coming apart in the back of the visor. I called Honda and they said that it is now my responsibility and have to replace it at my own expense. This does not seem fair to me because the problem is in the manufacturing of the visor and if I have to spend almost $200 to replace it, there is no guarantee that the same issue does not come up again, because Honda has failed to address the real issue of the workmanship of their visors. My car's VIN number is 2hgfa16569h319915 sincerely yours, aziz ansary aansary@hotmail. Com phone 703-266-2127 6339 mary todd CT centreville, va 20121.
The bracket the holds the alternator and is connected to the engine block snapped while I was driving on a city street. I lost power steering and the belt came off. The alternator was just dangling. From what I understand, this is a known problem with this model vehicle and it seems to be a serious design flaw.
American Honda is the most fraudulent company I ever dealt with. Within the 1st year, a serious problem developed with the trunk, which randomly opens for no reason, sometimes overnight, sometimes while driving on the highway, which is incredibly dangerous. We took the car 2x to the delray beach dealer , & it claimed itcouldn't identify or replicate the problem, & then that they fixed it. They did nothing & the problem never stopped. I wasted 2 days on these visits, accomplishing nothing. Last month, now in California, & still under warranty, the trunk opened while I was away for a week, & I had water damage to > $200 of items in my trunk. I spoke with livette at Honda, who told me to go to the berkeley dealer to have the car assessed. I reviewed the history of the matter, & told her I wanted to be sure the dealer would be authorized to make repairs. Instead. I wasted another 4+ hours at the dealer, who said it couldn't identify & had never heard of the issue. There are hundreds of complaints about this on line, & when I showed them the complaints & how dealers had fixed the problem, the dealer said it needed approval from Honda (Honda said it needed the dealer to approve the repair, so it's like dealing with the insane). The dealer said it would call me after obtaining approvalthey never did. Livette was the most offensive person I have ever dealt with, lied to my face, & refused to authorize the repair & closed the case though she never even spoke with the dealer. These cars have a known dangerous defect & Honda has done nothingthese cars should be recalled. The ntsb should track on-line complaints & obtain all Honda complaints for the last 5 years to determine all models affected. The car's undercarriage is also known to be defective; it is far too low & scrapes on speed bumps & gets torn off by them, parking barriers, & any road incline.

I was driving down the highway and a small rock hit my windshield and cracked it right where the rear view mirror is attached. There is no impacted point in the glass just the splintering of the glass. Safelite had to make a small hole just to do the repair. Is this windshield defective? it happen to my son's girlfriend's 2017 Honda Civic as well. We both just purchased the vehicles. There are numerous complaints online as well. I am concerned that the windshield is inferior or defective and is a safety issue.

This problem with cracked windshields is happening across the country with this model Honda Civic x. I am concerned about having an accident in this vehicle; since the windshields have not held up in a 45 mph and 60 mph posted speeds in both situations. These windshields are also in short supply. Paint on my navy blue Civic is deteriorating on the trunk, hood and roof. Also my passenger sun visor is broke. It looks like it melted and cracked for no apparent reason. There have been many complaints about paint peeling and chipping . You would think that Honda would take responsibility for the problem.
I was making a left turn leaving my place of work. The car made a loud grinding noise and the steering wheel locked (power steering went) and a/c stopped working. I immediately parked the car and the next day had it towed to a Honda dealership. Upon inspection, the water pump seized up. The pulley and lock bolt holding the serpentine belt had practically fallen off. This was confirmed by a Honda dealership technician. The car has low mileage, I am the first owner, and the car has only been serviced at a Honda dealership. I will also reference a service bulletin issued on 2006 Honda Civics. There is no recall on 2008's even though it contains the same r18 engine (engine block cracking problems) as the 2006 and 2007. Service bulletin number: 08-038 NHTSA id #: 10026085 bulletin date: fri, 08/01/2008 failing component(s): 062000 engine and engine cooling:cooling system summary: Honda: product update: water pump pulley flange cracks. A crack pulley flange may create a pulley noise, cause the water pump to fail, and cause the drive belt to break. Updated 12/19/08. Csc letter was received.
The visors broke in July 2015 and cracked; they cannot be used. I was able to return the driver side visor to the upright position; however, the passenger visor does not return to the upright position and often is bothersome to passengers. When Honda was contacted in October 2015 I was informed that I had received a recall notice in may 2011. I did not purchase the car until October of that year. I was also informed that the time period in which to respond to the recall for repair had concluded and that I could pay to have the visors repaired. They cost over $50 each. Therefore, I have not repaired the visors. The mileage is approximate. The initial incident occurred in a parking lot.
In 2011 Honda settled a class action suit involving defective sun visors. My car had both visors replaced in, I believe, 2012. Both are cracked just as the originals were. The danger is in the driver side defective sun visor. It can flop down unpredictably and and distract the driver. If it flops down halfway, its edge is aimed at my forehead and injure me. The only inexpensive and quick repair is a binder clip attached to the broken parts to hold them together.
Sunvisor cracked at the seam, thus cannot stay up and maintain at the position laying flat on the roof.
There has been 2 recalls since this vehicle has been on recall list for many problems there are a total of 10 recalls on this VIN which qualifies this car for a buyback. The vehicle has had problems with air bag frontal , fuel sysystem , vehicle speed excelarator and also to include frame damage. Car was purchased at an auction please see attachments that are included. I have been trying to get detailed information regarding this. The car has been reported to insurance company as frame damage and it was not registered under that vehicle has a weird noise crackling sound like it's the axel. Also the tires have been repalced 3 times all away around. Ignition and sarter has been replaced once. Please see that the car has been in a total of 5 accidents with 4 being reported and one not from the frame dmage. Please help me dealer is unknown and not in business anymore. Ihave been getting the run-around for this vehicle and need guidance.
Both sun visors in my car are not able to be pushed up anymore. It seems like they melted and came apart or cracked. I have researched online and this seems to be a common occurrence with my make and model of car.
One-owner 2010 Honda Civic with 33,000 miles-- the driver side sun visor can no longer stay in the "up" position. It has cracked where the hinge spring is, and may soon fall apart.
