Under fuel tank cap, there is a vent hole and a plastic extension (scoop shape). This plastic is pointing upward and vent hole is at the lowest point. In rain or during car washing water gets on the scoop through the fule door (fuel door is not water tight) and water enters into the fuel tank through the vent hole. And water gets into the engine cylinder.
