I purchased 4 new tires from les schwab on 11-29-17 (102t road control nw3 all seasons bw tires). Seven months later, on 6-20-18, one of the tires blew out. I had driven for 1-1/2 hours in 80 degree weather, and was idling at a traffic light when the tire blew (loud explosion). I didn't have any warning. The tire was split or separated near the rim. The tire had been inflated correctly and was otherwise in good condition. There hadn't been any cases of impact to the tire or an overloaded car. I didn't suffer any damage, because I was very lucky to not be on the freeway. Les schwab replaced the tire for free, as it was still under warranty. I asked what they think happened to the tire, because I'm concerned about whether or not I might have the same problem with the remaining 3 tires, and they didn't respond.

I bough 04 michelin green x- tires(215-70-r15) on Feb/09/2016 a 90,000 miles tires guarantee in puerto rico. I just used the tires 1,594 miles ,(four months later ) I had a blowout on the outer sidewall of the rear right drive side of the tire. When I check I had a big hole in the outer sidewall of my tire. There were no nails, glass or other debris responsible for these. The store replaced that tire with a ecopia-ep422 plus, because they don't have available a new michelin-x tire. I'm afraid to drive my Honda crv on long trips, neither on highthways at high speed for fear of the tread injuries on from causing of the tires, because when my tire blowout I was driving at 25miles.

Driving clear weather, very good street condition, going 50 miles per hour pulled to almost a full stop for a light signal and then heard a loud popping noise. Moved forward and felt tire was flat. Pilled over and observed the side of the tire blew out. 2014, Honda crv purchased brand new. Miles on the vehicles 13,485. No wear on all tires visible. Tire just blew up and appears like a defect since there was no tire damage. Tire pressure was at proper psi.

In August, 2010, we purchased 4 goodyear assurance fuel max tires. On December 7, 2012 , my wife and I experienced a blow out to our rear tire traveling on interstate-95 in florida at a high speed ((70mph) causing me to lose control of our 2007 Honda crv. We swerving across six lanes of traffic, almost flipped, and narrowly avoided crashing into concrete a wall before I finally obtained control of the car and was able to pulley off onto the emergency lane. Our vehicle was serviced by goodyear in October, and the tires were inspected and rotated at that time. At the time of the blowout, the tires only had 27,000 miles on them. They are warrantied for 65,000 miles. We contacted the goodyear store the next day, and the manager inspected the tire and could not determine why the tire blew out. He asked if we hit something. We didn't hit a thing. We just heard a pop. The assistant manager of the store stated, "that's what they all say," regarding our statement that we hit nothing. The tire was not torn, but was split from rim to rim, completely severing the belts. My wife and I could have been killed in this accident and other drivers could have seriously injured as well. We do not want anyone to experience anything like this ever again. Goodyear claims that they do not have any problem with these tires, but we have seen similar complaints on the internet about blowouts on goodyear assurance tires. Goodyear offered us a small price adjustment to replace our tires, but we are afraid to purchase goodyear tires. Goodyear must recall these defective tires before someone loses their life.

Left rear tire blew out on highway at 70mph, driver lost control of vehicle and it flipped and rolled multiple times. Passenger air bag deployed (no passenger in vehicle) but driver air bag failed to deploy. Driver had broken bones, cuts and abrasions. Deployment of driver air bag would likely have reduced injuries to driver.

Bought new Honda crv 2008 in Aug 2008 from the dealer. Sidewall blowout, 1075 miles on the car. Traveling at 30mph when the tire blew. No incident prior to the blow out. My normal driving is to/from work--8 miles r/t and other local driving. Last weekend went to atlantic city--300 miles round trip on highways. Didn't hit any potholes etc. Good thing this didn't blow out on the hwy with my family in the car! the actual tire is conti 4x4 contact--this was not in the list from which to choose.
The tire that blew had never been used. It had been my spare and had been on car for less than 3 weeks when it blew up. On line, I see that same tire has had a history of blow outs. Probably should be considered for recall.

I have a new Honda crv with 1,600 miles and 3 days ago while driving on the highway my bridgestone tire blew apart, sending the tire across 3 lanes of highway. A deputy sheriff was driving ,and he stated he had never had a blowout like that and felt it was probably a defective tire.
The steering wheel started shaking while driving 55 mph. The consumer pulled to side of road and stopped, he checked all the tires and the noticed left rear tire had blown out and was shredded. The steel belt inside of tire was wrapped around the tire. The vehicle was towed to schwabs, and all tires were replaced.
While driving, and without warning the left rear side tire blewout, which caused the consumer to pull over. Size#p20570r15 . Dealer notified. There were 3 splits from the edge of wheel the mounts toward the outside of the tire.
The tire blew out, and the tread came off, which left the consumer to drive on the rim. Consumer did not hit anything and the tires only had 6000 miles on them. Ph.
While traveling on the highway, the right front tire blewout, causing the driver to lose control of her vehicle. The vehicle went into the median and became airborne (rolling over several times) about 4-5 more times on the ground, hit a semi-truck traveling on the opposite side of the road, finally coming to a rest. Also, with the force of the impact on the sides of the vehicle, particularly the driver side, it would seem to be strong enough to activate the side airbags, yet the saftey feature did not perform, bridgestone dueler h/t.
Tire blewout while going 70 mph. Caused by road debris not equipment failure.
Five tires are original equiptment at time of purchase. The tire that failed was only in use since aproximately January 27, 2001. The mileage on the spare is under 6000 of daily city driving and about five trips of over 240 miles. The failed tire lost its entire tread like a banana peeling on a California interstate 5 northbound and was not recovered. The tread caused damage to the right front wheel well and bumper and right door panel. For reasons that only our god almighty knows, the tire did not blow out and the steel thread held in place. Neither the Honda dealership or bridgestone dealer at sears store had any warnings on this bridgestone tire model experiencing tread separation. I have done some limited internet checking regarding firestone/bridgestone tires but have not found this model on any list as yet. I share this information so that if any other incidents with this model arise or have already been shared, this product should be scrutinezed for safety hazard concern. The tire was properly inflated. The sears representative will report the incident to bridgestone for resolution of tire failure. If I can be of further assistance, please contact me. Thank you very much. (dot number: elytcaf017 tiresize: 205/70r15).
On Dec 18, 2000 about 5:00pm my wife geeta rastogi was driving home from work. She was waiting at the traffic light on MD highway 28 in rockville to turn left on to darnestowne rd. When traffic light changed for her to move and turn left, she heard a big blast and her front left wheel jumped the curve. She with great difficulty drove to a safe place on the right hand side, got out of the car and found that her left front tire had blown a 2"x4" piece. A montgomery county police woman and a citizen helped geeta to replace the tire with full size spare. We bought a new tire of same type and size from a local olson tire store next day. I would like to know if NHTSA has received any other complaints about this tire from other consumers. Thanks. (tiresize: 205/70r/15)( dot number: tire size: 205/70r/15 ).
I was driving on the freeway approximately 65 miles per hour on 9/7/00 2:25pm (approx). Blow out occurred, took control of the car while traveling a busy freeway. I managed to pull off the road without hitting any other car. I got off the car, noticed that the tire was completely off the rim, tire was half a mile (approx) away. Called roadside assitance, tire was changed. Photos were taken of the damage to the car and remaining portion of the tire on the rim. I was told (by a firestone manager) to retrieve the tire on the freeway, which I have in my possesion, to determine the cause. I have not been able to do that since I work. I did not drive the crv today, I drove my other car. I had maintenance performed on my car on 9/5/00 and no tire problems were reported. Have there been any other similar incidences of this type of blowout to this tire. What can be and/or what should be done in this case? I am experiencing soreness /aches in my neck and back. Please advise. Thank you. ( dot number: ).
