Tire Pressure Light On Problems of Honda CR-V

2014 Honda crv. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle tire pressure and brake system issues. The consumer stated while driving on a snow pack road, as he was going around a broad curve, at a slow speed, the vehicle slid across the road into an oncoming lane. The consumer stated he realized the vehicle slid too easily and the abs activated prematurely, prior to the incident, the tire pressure light illuminated. The consumer believed the tires were unsafe.

The contact owns a 2010 Honda Cr-v equipped with bridgestone dueler h/l 400, size 225/65/r17. The contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, the low tire pressure indicator light illuminated. The contact pulled over to a gas station where he noticed that the left rear tire was flat. He was able to insert air but noticed that it was making a hissing sound. When he arrived home, the tire was almost flat again. He noticed that the tire sidewall cracked. The contact called the vehicle dealership who stated that he should call the tire manufacturer. The manufacturer advised him to take the vehicle to an authorized tire center where the tire would be replaced. The current and failure mileages were 165. The contact owns a 2008 Honda crv. The contact stated that the original continental tires would continuously lose pressure and the tread was severely worn. The tire pressure warning light would illuminate intermittently. The dealer advised there was nothing they could do to assist. The vehicle was not repaired or diagnosed for the failure.
