The windshield wipers do not remove water and always leave a film. This film will not go away with defrost, extra cleaning, washer fluid. I replaced the blades and still the reflective film remains. It is extremely hazardous to drive because all light reflects off the film and horribly impairs vision. Honda refuses responsibility. Also, the washer fluid does not clean windows either. Dust also becomes highly reflective with light and horribly impairs vision. Someone needs to fix this ASAP or there will be multiple accidents. I am not the only one with this dangerous problem.

This complaint is not limited to my current vehicle. I am 5' 3" tall. The part of the car's body that separates the windshield from the side windows in all vehicles I have driven creates a huge obstruction to my view. I almost struck a bicyclist coming from the left. . . He and the entire bike were blocked from my vision. When taking a left turn, the entire street can be obscured. This problem was even more severe in a 1995 Jeep cherokee I owned. Also, why aren't mirrors that would eliminate the blind spot on the driver side mandatory?.

The driver's side sun visor in my 2006 Honda Cr-v will not stay in the proper position. It has never stayed flush against the windshield, but rather sagged down about 1-2 inches; however, I just treated this as an annoyance previously. As of approximately two months ago, it started sagging even further when "opened" against the windshield, and now it no longer stays flush against the roof of the car either, or against the driver's side window if I have it rotated 90 degrees. It sags down several inches, no matter which direction it is turned or flipped. It impacts my visibility because it doesn't shield the sun properly, and it gets in my way, both physically, and by blocking more of my field of view than what is appropriate. I am not even tall--5'4". I purchased an extended warranty (8 years/120,000 miles) and am just shy of 80,000 miles now. I took the car to my local mechanic first, and they said the entire fixture needs replacement. Then I called my local Honda dealer to see if this was covered under warranty; they said, "call Honda and ask them. " meanwhile, I asked what it would cost me to repair this out of pocket: $151 for the visor and $52 per hour for labor, so over $200, likely. I called Honda, and a very unhelpful customer service person said the sun visor is classified as interior trim and therefore, not covered under warranty. I strongly disagree--this is a safety issue, not a cosmetic irregularity on the dashboard, or something equally inconsequential.

Tomorrow I take my 2002 Honda Cr-v in for it's fifth air conditioner compressor. If it wasn't for the concern about visibility to defrost/defog the windshield in certain weather conditions, would not be shelling out another $1600 plus tax on this reliability highly overrated vehicle. Currently has only 166,600 miles on it. This time failure is being attributed to the condenser fan needing replacement also. At least this is the first time the compressor didn't just completely fail. Buying it as a certified used vehicle only helped with the first replacement, so I guess it was worth it, but certainly didn't get the long term peace of mind expected for the extra cost. Honda knows they have a problem but appear to not care to help owners cope with the exorbitant cost of owning this over priced vehicle.

2006 Honda crv. Have replaced drivers side sunvisor 4 times, waiting on number 5. After anywhere from 2 months to 1 year the sunvisor will not stay up in place. Creeps back down instantly and cannot see out of windshield even with visor pushed all the way towards windshield. Offers no use, and when trying to use it obstructs view and is very dangerous. If visors are required, then this one is a failure. Have noted others on the Honda crv owners club forum with same problem. Have asked that they also file with NHTSA. To be clear, when stored away in normal position it stays in place, when trying to pull it down and push towards windshield when sun is in face, it pushes to windshield then instantly flops back down to position where it obscures the view out the windshield. Replacements work fine for short period of time. They have warrantied 3 times, and I have had to buy twice as it was just over 1 year before I took it in. I have and old part that was replaced when I had to purchase out of warranty. The kept the other parts, but have no explanation for fix.

Had 2 cracks on my 2010 Honda Cr-v windshield in 3 days. Latest one happened when I was driving home and I heard a loud pop and felt debris on my hands and arms. There was no car in front of me and I just passed the vehicle head of an 18-wheeler on the other side of the road and suppose it was a rock that hit my windshield. It broke through the first layer of the windshield (created a hole about the size of a quarter) and shattered the second layer with several 6-8 inches of cracks going in all directions. The debris I felt were the broken pieces from shattered glass. Some were quite large (with the biggest one I found a length of 1/2 in) and sharp. They were all over my shirt, laps, hands, and arms. When I tried to remove some on the seat, one piece pinched my finger although no cut was found.

The windshield has lamination problems that are known by Honda. As a result, my vision is impaired while driving. Honda service could not do anything, as all the cars on the lot have this problem. I called Honda customer service, as the service department recommended. Customer service recognizes the problem, but chose to do nothing about it. The car is a brand new 2007 Honda crv. Their answer is not acceptable to me.

A crack appeared on the lower right hand side (passenger side) of my windshield this morning. There is no evidence of an impact site.
Windshield was hit by a soccer ball, and cracked immediately.
I have experienced at least 5 front windshield chips in my 05 Honda crv. I've only owned this vehicle for 5 1/2 months. 2 of the 5 have required repairs. I am certain I will require a complete new windshield in the near future. The sound of impact does not indicate that any damage should be caused, however the Honda windshield is like paper. I feel it is in my best interest to replace my current windshield for fear of further property damage and or injury to myself and my passengers.
My 2002 Honda Cr-v has had a cracked windshield twice in two years. The impact point was nearly the same in both cases - lower left corner. The first case occurred on I-95. The impact point was nearly invisible to the eye. I went to two dealers who each found the point by tracing the now huge crack with the tip of a pen. It could be found. Both denied warranty coverage. The second case occurred on rt 1 approaching the trenton train stn exit from pennsylvania. This time I looked on the internet to see if their was a known problem with Cr-v windows. It appears there is. A problem Honda has acknowledged with a little advertised, goodwill warranty. I will follow up. I am wondering if the dealers were aware of this policy, but denied anyway. It was suggested I document my issue through your web site.
The windshield was replaced twice, and cracked again. Consumer felt the glass was inferior, and that the manufacturer should be notified.
2004 Honda Cr-v windshield stress fracture y Cr-v was 6 weeks old with 600 miles on it when I discovered a stress fracture in the front windshield glass beginning at the pillar and working horizontally. Ealer agreed to fix under warranty. Dealer personnel and the auto glass repair technicians report seeing this problem on Cr-vs and elements.

Windshield cracks and chips easily when even the smallest pebble
flies up and hits it. I've read of others having this problem. My windshield has three chips from this happening.

Car was purchased on 11-29-02. Windshield replaced on 6-3-03. Three months later on 9-23-03, windshiled needed to be repaired. Around 4-03, another crack appeared. I contacted the Honda corporate office where they sent me to the dealership to have the windshiled checked. Their claim was that it was a stone that cracked it. Obviously something hit the windshield. However I do not believe that a windshield should receive damage that easily. This is the first car I have ever had where the windshield had to be replaced. At the moment, there are two sealed cracks and eventually the windshield will need to be replaced again. Each time this occurs, it cost me $100. 00 out of pocket. I am afraid that if I keep claiming on my insurance, my rates will go up. I have family and friends that travel the same roads as I do and their cars windshields don't get damaged.
Windshield developed a crack that started from the bottom right side. Consumer stated "no objects made contact with the windshield. The cause of the crack was undetermined by dealership.
