1 Windshield Wiper/washer problem of the 2013 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 12/17/2013

The windshield washer on this vehicle and my daughter's similar car are a defective design. They do not work in the cold. Also the wipers are ineffective. This leads to unsafe driving conditions.

3 Windshield Wiper/washer problem of the 2009 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 01/25/2009

Brand new two-week old 2009 Honda crv. Defect in window washer nozzles. Freeze up when temps drop well below freezing which in ne pennsylvania happens often. Driving on turnpike in snow squalls--washers froze up and we could not see the road. Contacted Honda dealer and they told us Honda does not consider this recurring problem to be a safety factor. It is a definite safety factor when you cannot see the road. Problem must be rectified.

4 Windshield Wiper/washer problem of the 2007 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 02/11/2008

During the last three cold weather spells (temperatures below 32f) the windshield washer nozzle is freezing up and will not work. As a result the salt spray covers the windshield and significantly impairs visibility. I took the Cr-v to the Honda dealership service department and was informed that there are a number of people with the same complaint. Per the service representative, not only are the nozzles freezing, but also the washer hoses leading to the nozzles under the hood are frozen as well. He indicated that there was nothing that I could do to prevent this from happening. I believe that this is a design flaw since I have had other Honda vehicles that did not have the same problem. In fact, none of the other cars that I have previously owned had this problem. When I questioned about a recall, I was informed that there was none for this particular problem. Yesterday, I was nearly involved in a major car pile-up due to the impaired visibility during an ice storm. I am greatly concerned about the hazards that this problem presents. I would like for the Honda company to initiate a recall to fix this possible manufacturing defect before a fatality occurs.

The consumer experienced several mechanical problem with the 2005 Honda crv ex. The center bearing was replaced because it caused the vehicle to vibrate/noise while idling. The consumer still heard noise in the rear of the vehicle while driving at any speed. The technician said the noise was a characteristic of the vehicle. The vehicle runs rough with the a/c on. The dealer said this was normal. The consumer would like the manufacturer to replace the vehicle or proved a full refund since the dealer cannot find the source of the noise.
