1 Catalytic Convertor problem of the 2001 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 07/31/2007

The contact owns a 2001 Honda Passport. While driving approximately 5-10 mph, the vehicle began to stall and the engine revved. The vehicle failed to drive forward and would only drive in reverse. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence and her cousin, a mechanic, diagnosed the cause of failure as the catalytic converter. She was informed that there was a recall on the catalytic converter, but the only open recall on her vehicle was for the frontal air bags. The VIN and engine size were unknown. The current and failure mileages were 86,000. Updated 01-16-08. After further investigation, it was determined there was a problem with the throttle position sensor. Updated.
