My car turned off while it was in drive. The oil pressure light flashed on for a second then disappeared. The car did not have anything else seem like it is wrong. I was put in dangers way because it turned off right before I was about to turn onto a very busy street and if it had done that in the middle of the street I would have gotten into an accident.

Car was operating fine, then when we got on the highway, we noticed the check engine light had come on but were unable to get off the highway. The vehicle then began slowing down despite pressing down on the gas pedal. Vehicle continued to slow to about 15mph and we were hit by another car.

Unknown on January 24,2026, I was thankfully traveling only about twenty mph a block from my home and something happened in the front drivers side suspension that caused me to almost hit three parked cars. Once I got stopped, the car couldn’t get get pushed forward, won’t roll at all forward, like it’s in park, but in neutral we were able to push it backwards to the house. It seems that it could be what is described in recall 069. However when I put my VIN in it said zero recalls. I see a letter to the original owner of this car, but I don’t see any info with the recall being repaired. The car hasn’t been worked on yet as we had a huge snowstorm the night the car broke and have since had sub zero temps and I’ve not found anyone to work on it in front of my home in this weather. How should I proceed? how can I get more info in regards to if this recall was remedied on this car?.

Vehicle screen will shut off while driving and come back on randomly. This is not the first time I have reported it. I have reported it to my dealership, they looked at it and checked the vehicle. It happens so randomly but it's been over 2 years now that this has been happening. Of course when vehicle is getting inspected, it does not happen. I have asked them to update my software on my vehicle, they stated it does not need it but I bought this vehicle on sept 2023.

While driving back into town on the interstate, my oil plug fell out of my car. It was not known at the time the oil plug was what fell out. I remember hearing a clunk underneath my car. About 5-10 minutes after I heard the noise, my oil light flashed, and I could feel my car unable to accelerate further. I pulled over to the side of the road and my engine stalled. I had it towed to a body shop. The next morning, they called and said the oil plug was missing and there was no damage to my undercarriage. My engine was ruined and I was quoted $9,400 for the repair, which is probably more than the value of my car, effectively totaling it. My last oil change was November 12th, 2025 where my odometer was at 82,633. This occurred after 3,393 miles and about 2 months from this most recent oil change. I had not seen oil leaking from my vehicle well before this happened, and I had no indicator lights on or flashing well before this incident. My engine has not previously been checked for Hyundai TSB 21-em-003h, Hyundai TSB 21-em-004h, or kia TSB 222.

My horn continues to short out. It has happened five or more times in two years. (I purchased this car in 2023 and the day I purchased it, I was driving home and found out that the horn had lost sound, I called the dealership and they told me to bring it up the next day. When I brought it up the next day it started working again and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. I then went back home and by that next week my horn was completely not working so I had to bring it back up to my dealership. ) my horn not working puts me and others in risk for many of reasons. For starters, it takes away my primary warning and communication tool on the road. I have no way to warn others if they are drifting into my lane, backing into me or any other accident that can happen while driving. I have taken my car to the dealership to get it fixed multiple times. This has been a problem since the day I bought my car. Every time my horn is about to fully short out, it slowly loses its sound and will come and go for multiple days slowly losing sound. I don't have my recent documentation from taking it to the dealership to get fixed, but I have one or two forms from the beginning.
Description of the safety problem: in the early morning hours of January 8, while driving my Hyundai vehicle, I ran off the road into a ditch. I was extremely disoriented and activated the vehicle’s built-in blue link sos emergency assistance system for help. I successfully connected with a blue link operator and repeatedly told her that I did not know where I was and that I was scared and needed assistance. While I was actively requesting help, the sos call was disconnected. After the disconnection, I attempted to reconnect using the sos system but was unable to do so, despite the vehicle having power and an active, paid telematics subscription. The system did not reconnect or provide further assistance. I was forced to call 911 from my personal cell phone to obtain emergency help. This resulted in a delayed response and a $1,300 towing expense that I would not have incurred if the sos system had functioned as marketed. This incident raises serious safety concerns. The vehicle’s emergency sos system failed during an active emergency, disconnected while the driver was disoriented and requesting help, and provided no ability to reconnect. This defeats the purpose of an integrated emergency safety feature and could place drivers at risk of serious injury or death. I am reporting this incident so NHTSA can evaluate the reliability and safety of Hyundai’s blue link sos emergency system during real-world emergencies.

This is the 7th time my vehicle has been parked and over night killed a battery. It’s been replaced 3 times and this battery lasted 8 months and now my vehicle is dead again. Also you can’t lock your vehicle if the battery is completely dead.
Problem: dealer creates financial barriers to recall completion I am reporting systematic barriers to recall completion created by Hyundai's authorized dealer that forced me to incur $834. 60 in transportation costs for what should be a "no charge" recall repair, potentially discouraging recall compliance. The barrier: unconscionable loaner terms prevent recall compliance how dealer creates recall barrier capitol Hyundai's loaner contract: service manager tray nichols confirmed in writing (email 12/15/25, 7:42 am) that loaner customers are liable for "any new damage that was not present before," including: rock chips from highway driving door dings in parking lots small scratches from normal use customer pays all repair costs customer pays insurance deductible customer risks insurance rate increases why this creates barrier to recall completion statistical reality: aaa research: average driver gets 1-2 windshield rock chips per year over 36-day recall service period, rock chips are statistically inevitable door dings in parking lots over 5+ weeks are unavoidable customer cannot prevent damage no matter how careful financial risk to customer: potential repair costs: $500-1,000+ insurance deductible: $500-1,000 insurance rate increases: long-term costs total risk: $1,000-2,000+ for "free" recall customer's forced choice: use loaner ? risk $1,000-2,000+ in costs don't use loaner ? pay for alternative transportation ($834. 60 in my case) delay/avoid recall ? keep driving defective vehicle result: financial disincentive to complete recall.

The gas pedal, would not work as I was trying to accelerate when going from the ramp onto the freeway. The pedal had no pump in it, it just went all the way down as I was trying to press and the car started slowing down. I had to pull over on the side of the freeway and restart the car for the pedal to start working again. I came to the dealership the next day on 12/5/25, at around 5:45pm in which I was scheduled to come back at 8am on 12/6/25. My safety was at risk, because the car lost pedal power for me to pickup speed as I merged onto the freeway. I brought it in for inspection, at the dealership I purchased it from. There were not any signals or displays that came on during the incident.

The horn is not working when I press the horn or on the key fob. I had it checked and the fuses were fine. The seat belt chime also does not work out of nowhere, same time the horn stopped working.

Yesterday my horn ceased working again and someone almost side swiped me. This is the 3rd time on my 2023 Elantra. I have 2 Hyundai Elantras that have had to send to the dealership to replace the horns multiple times. I had the same issue with my venue, which appears to have had some type of NHTSA action, and feel that the Elantras should be included on said action as they utilize the same horn components. The contact owns a 2012 Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 20v393000 (equipment). The contact stated that the fuse on the modified tire mobility kit failed after it was replaced as stated in the recall repair. The contact replaced the fuse with one of the extra fuses provided by the dealer after the recall part was replaced. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,500.

Driver side lock cannot be opened. Defect.
The trunk latch was recalled. I supposedly got it fixed in July 2024. It was functioning at the time it was supposedly fixed. It does say it’s a safety issue. Now it is not working, exactly the symptoms of the recall, not open from the inside. There isn’t a key hole to open it. My belongings are inside, and if I get a flat, there is no way of opening the trunk. I’ve called their corporate office. They want to charge me a diagnostic fee, of $200. 00 to check the recall. Isn’t it their legal obligation to check if the recall has taken affect?.
The coolant system is failing after it was fully replaced in November of 2024 and I got the car of may 2025 with only two previous owners. Coolant system failing after me only have the car for 6 months when the car sat for 5 months.
2024 Hyundai Elantra horn failed, and has to be replaced at under 20,000 miles. Safety of myself and occupants was put at risk when another oncoming vehicle was not paying attention and veered in my lane going 75 mph and my horn would not work to call their attention back to the road. No warning light was on or notified me. The dealer confirmed and claimed it was a recall because they keep going out for a lot of people… but there’s no recall listed online. Extremely unsafe, and vehicle will not pass inspection without horn.
The horn on my Hyundai Elantra stopped working twice in 2025. My recent visit to the dealership on 10/9/25 resulted in finding out the assembly is taking on water causing a shortcut. This is a reoccurring problem, the attendant told me. He tried to assure me repairs will be covered under my 5 year warranty. That doesn’t reassure me of anything because a nonfunctional horn is a safety issue and should result in a recall. Please let me know what you are going to make this defect go away.
My Elantra has 25000 miles and has had issues with an inoperative horn. It appears that the horn pad switch/clockspring has an intermittent contact issue. It has progressed to the point where the horn is inoperative now. My vehicle is under factory warranty, so I will need to return the vehicle to the dealership to correct this problem. My goal is to leave a record of the failure of this critical safety device.
Electric horn is not working horn issue technical service bulletin (TSB) 25-be-005h published on Hyundai tech info under Hyundaidealer. Com but it does not include 2019; it includes 2020 -2022 model years.
A safety recall performed by Hyundai automotive company was completed on 10. 4. 2022 to remedy a known security flaw in kia/hyunai vehicles made between 2011 and 2022. This recall was performed successfully by a certified Hyundai dealer. Since this, the vehicle has been stolen not once, but twice. The security sytem that should be in place to prevent the ease of theft has not been effective. This has put us as owners at risk of financial harm by lack of access to a vehicle on multiple occasions. Additionally this has continued to be a public safety concern as this has put the lives and safety of others at risk when thieves are easily able to steal these vehciles and drive recklessly around a city. The problem has been reproduced by a dealership when they had to store the vehicle, locked, and were able to start the car with just a usb stick in March 2024. Additionally this issue has been reproduced by a thief again in September 2025 when a second theft occured. The vehicle has been assessed for damage at a certified Hyundai dealership and is awaiting further inspection.
When driving there’s a feature that flashes across the screen saying consider taking a break and makes noise. This happens especially during inclement weather and is an incredible distraction that I cannot disable.
Excessive oil consumption. Engine completely dry after 3500 miles in between oil change with no check oil warning light.

Unkown.
I was pulling into a parking spot, moving very slowly, and the car suddenly accelerated. I’m not sure if it was the brakes only because I was slowed down and preparing to stop. I was lucky that I only went into a pvc fence and no one was injured. There was no indication of any sort of a possible problem. No one looked at it because I had no idea that that could be done, and I wouldn’t know where to go.

Horn does not work.
The car keeps lagging on acceleration I had the throttle body checked and cleaned and they said it was fine I have been doing all maintenance required by manufacturer, but sometimes is lacking on the power loses acceleration, I see these model has a recall but when I entered my VIN number doesn't show up so I am concerned why is not covered as it could lead to my car been stalled in the middle of the highway, dealer wants 300 dollars just to take it in and usually they can't reproduce the issue , what should I do in this case, I dont want to wait until I have an accident for this to be checked thank you.
Vehicle’s sunroof glass spontaneously exploded while driving. No rock or other foreign object impacted it. Interior shade below glass was closed at the time of the incident. Loud pop heard. Glass appeared blown up and out from explosion. Vehicle was a rental vehicle owned by enterprise car rental.
This dealership refuses to work on recalls on weekends, even though they are open for repairs on saturdays. They are prioritizing paying customers. This is the second recall I've had this issue with them. Tasca central Ave Hyundai 111 south central avenue, hartsdale NY 10530.

The engine bay of my car caught fire due to the abs pump and module not turning off. I bought a part but never opened the box because I received a piece of mail stating the recall of that exact issue that they would replace all parts damaged. Which they didn't just installed their relay after Hyundai recall 188 was completed, my abs pump failed. I believe it was caused by continuous power being applied post-shutdown — the exact defect the recall was meant to fix. The dealer performed an inspection but misrepresented the results and refuses to replace the damaged component under recall. This abs pump failure is a direct result of the original recall condition — or a failed installation of the relay fix — which continued to keep power applied to the pump while the vehicle was off. This is the exact scenario the recall was intended to prevent. If the failure is caused by that condition, Hyundai is still responsible under recall. The facility which did the recall falsely recorded the mileage on my vehicle as to void any "warranty" associated with the recall as the car hasn't been driven since the module was replaced. I also instructed the diagnosis team of wesley chapel Hyundai to keep my battery unplugged due to the parasitical drain in order to protect the battery from being dead celled and now I have to replace the battery as well. They also illegally opened a mailed box I had in my car with a part I bought prior to the recall being mailed out which I never took out of the box nor did I open the box and it was fully sealed which is a federal crime. I opened a case in which Hyundai denied helping with this faulty service and are refusing to provide me documents case no. 41355389.

This is for a paint problem that my car has lost its paint within six months. My car is peeling off very fast and there was a class action lawsuit. And now a new one has started. I see nobody at your office wants to help people.
Bought with 63000. Miles, have driven 40000 miles. Engine seized. Will not start. Told by mechanic that engine is dead and happens frequently with this car. What are my options?. All upkeeps performed. No warning.
