After the recall at Hyundai, my car wouldn't run and there were many lights on the dashboard. It was later checked and the instability light problem persisted. They fixed on the same time, and say something problem with the update. They later informed me that I have a problem with the brake switch, and the brake lights don't work because of it. I replaced and doesn’t work, I went back to the store and they want me to pay a fee to have it analyzed again. Even though before the recall, the lights and the car were working perfectly.

The engine bay of my car caught fire due to the abs pump and module not turning off. I bought a part but never opened the box because I received a piece of mail stating the recall of that exact issue that they would replace all parts damaged. Which they didn't just installed their relay after Hyundai recall 188 was completed, my abs pump failed. I believe it was caused by continuous power being applied post-shutdown — the exact defect the recall was meant to fix. The dealer performed an inspection but misrepresented the results and refuses to replace the damaged component under recall. This abs pump failure is a direct result of the original recall condition — or a failed installation of the relay fix — which continued to keep power applied to the pump while the vehicle was off. This is the exact scenario the recall was intended to prevent. If the failure is caused by that condition, Hyundai is still responsible under recall. The facility which did the recall falsely recorded the mileage on my vehicle as to void any "warranty" associated with the recall as the car hasn't been driven since the module was replaced. I also instructed the diagnosis team of wesley chapel Hyundai to keep my battery unplugged due to the parasitical drain in order to protect the battery from being dead celled and now I have to replace the battery as well. They also illegally opened a mailed box I had in my car with a part I bought prior to the recall being mailed out which I never took out of the box nor did I open the box and it was fully sealed which is a federal crime. I opened a case in which Hyundai denied helping with this faulty service and are refusing to provide me documents case no. 41355389.

I was slowly pulling into a parking spot in a lot. As I approached the curb, I gently pressed the brake to come to a complete stop. However, instead of stopping, the vehicle suddenly and forcefully accelerated forward very fast without warning, resulting in a crash.

I have taken my car in twice due to my car braking when there is not a vehicle and or object in front of me but there are vehicles right behind me that have to brake but crain denies that there are any issues. My engine light came on a couple of weeks ago and I took it to auto zone to have a diagnostic test done. The report states that it has something wrong with the transmission/transmission line and or fluid. When I looked it up online it stated that there are recalls on engine pistons that could cause the diagnostic test to read that it's the transmission. My car is a 2020 Hyundai Elantra value edition but according to your website, there are no recalls!?.

The vehicle has experienced ongoing powertrain and electrical malfunctions over several months. The most common symptoms include being stuck in 4th gear (limp mode), complete loss of rpm and speedometer readings, and illumination of the check engine and esc lights. Most recently, while traveling at approximately 10 mph, the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of both acceleration and braking. The brake pedal became stiff and unresponsive, and the car had to coast to a stop without driver control. This posed a serious safety risk to myself and nearby traffic. These issues have persisted across multiple service visits to ricart Hyundai in groveport, ohio. That dealership has replaced the crankshaft position sensor three times, the powertrain control module (pcm), and the battery, but the underlying problems remain unresolved. A technician at the dealership was able to reproduce the stalling event during a test drive. Despite that, the dealership has refused to proceed with further diagnostics unless I pay for an oil change, even though previous inspections by their own staff found no visible leaks and confirmed the oil level was sufficient at the time. They have also revoked complimentary access to a loaner vehicle despite the unresolved and unsafe condition of the car. The vehicle remains available for inspection. The problem has been confirmed by a dealership, has occurred repeatedly, and continues to pose a safety concern. Warning lights and gauge failures typically appear when the issue occurs.
The brake pedal stopper pad broke and fell off which resulted in the brake lights remaining illuminated the entire time the car was driving, which is very hazardous. I am not sure how long it had been broken for before I realized that this dangerous condition was occurring. The brake lights remained on even after the car was turned off. I had to tape a piece of cardboard to the brake arm where it hits the brake light switch to get the brake lights to appropriately go off and on and to be able to relatively safely drive the car to a mechanic. The mechanic was able to determine that the broken brake pedal stopper was causing the problem. 2013 Elantras were recalled for this problem but not the 2012 models. This recall may need to be expanded to 2012s.

Under carriage steel brake line rust through at support bracket and causing a loss of brake fluid and risk of stopping condition that raise a concern of an accident and protentional risk of injury to the owner/operator and other drivers on the road. This rust condition and due to road salt condition in state that use road salt and Hyundai clearly lacks undercoating protection. Hi I recently brought my car in for recall repairs involving the abs fuse and brake pedal stopper. Right after the service, my traction control light came on, and the car struggled to move forward. I took it to a mechanic who said the front brakes were locked. When I brought it back to your service center, I was told the hydraulic calipers were bad and that the brake pads and rotors were rubbing against each other. I was also told it’s just an "unfortunate coincidence. " however, since I had no brake issues before the recall work, I’m very concerned that something may have gone wrong during the service.

Brake failure. Corroded brake lines. There is a recall in canada for this model year for the same exact issue (https://recalls-rappels. Canada. Ca/en/alert-recall/transport-canada-recall-2023125-Hyundai). Why did NHTSA not force a recall for the same issue at least in cold-weather states?.

A car pulled out in front of me. I hit my brakes and now the calipers are locked. When the incident happened the brakes on the left side of the car locked up. I have no warning lights and the caliper is still locked. I have been to a couple mechanics and no one understands. If you unplug the brake line from the abs unit the calipers release. Front calipers, brakes, and brake lines have been replaced.

Unknown I had the lane assist feature on and was taking the second lane from right to turn off to exit when the alarm went off, the wheel turned itself and it started braking. There was nothing where it was trying to avoid and actually almost had me run into another by turning me left back onto the freeway while trying to stop. It’s never happened to me before and I take that way regularly.

My car was recalled by Hyundai for a critical safety issue and has been at the dealership since July of 2024 awaiting repairs due to missing parts. Despite repeated follow-ups, Hyundai has been unable to provide a timeline for the repair. Recently, they offered to buy back the car, but the offer was far below its fair market value. When I declined, they stated they would return the car to me unfixed and unsafe. This situation has caused significant inconvenience and feels coercive, as I am forced to choose between accepting an unfair buyback or taking back an unsafe vehicle. I am seeking NHTSA's assistance to ensure Hyundai repairs the vehicle promptly, investigates their handling of recalls, and protects consumers from being placed in such unfair situations.

Intermittently while driving the vehicle will suddenly engage the traction control (tc)/electronic stability control (esc). The light flashes for a short period (probably no more than a couple of seconds) and the car slightly jerks to the right. A loud noise is heard when this happens and the brake pedal shakes. Then the light will stop flashing and the car will begin operating normally again. Typically, the problem will reoccur shortly after it happens. I took the car to a dealer, and the dealer was unable to replicate the problem. The service manager stated that there were no codes and no history, and without a code the problem could not be diagnosed. This problem occurred multiple times over the last few months.

Every time I go up a hill the slippery road light comes up. It’s hard to drive straight. I have to drive under the speed limit going up hills. Sometimes it won’t even let me park. I hear rattling when I drive over a certain speed limit. When I brake I feel the brake pad pushing back. And now my wheels are making noise when I turn them.
I was never informed through mail, email, or phone call about a potential fire hazard safety recall from Hyundai. In turn, due to my unawareness of the recall, my 2013 Elantra’s abs pump had caught on fire, melted into the control module, and melted the abs electrical harness to the module, short circuiting the ecu and starter as well.
I took my car into burns Hyundai (marlton, NJ) for the abs recall on [xxx], and while leaving the lot, my car doors began locking/unlocking when I braked or accelerated. . . I called them and took it back on the 10/09 and I was told they did everything correctly and I would have to pay to have my vehicle diagnosed for their error. I then took my car to meineke (right next door to Hyundai) for other services recommended by Hyundai on 10/7 (which meineke later told me that I don't need to have done at all) and meineke told me that Hyundai did cause the software issue when doing the abs recall. I filed a complaint with Hyundai (Hyundai consumer affairs case#: [xxx]) and the solution was again for me to take my vehicle back (burns Hyundai in marlton or Hyundai in burlington) for a diagnosis, and if they determine the software issue is not related to whatever they did for the abs recall, I would have to foot the diagnosis bill. Because burns Hyundai refused to take accountability from from the onset for their error(s) with my vehicle, my car doors now unlock/lock while I'm driving my vehicle which is dangerous especially if I have children in the back seat. A police report was not filed. No medical attention was needed. The vehicle was towed to a salvage junkyard the dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. I submitted an online repair request to capitol Hyundai of san jose for abs fuse replacement (xxx) recall code: 251. However, their website shows no available appointment dates in 2024, 2025, or 2026. My concern was that not having any repair appointment slots available for this recall amounted to a refusal to perform the recall work. I submitted a complaint to Hyundai consumer affairs [xxx] ) regarding capitol Hyundai's refusal to service this recall, but was told the following: "state laws limit our ability to intervene with dealership transactions as each Hyundai dealership is independently owned and operated. We recommend you contact the manager of the service department or the general manager of the dealership at (408) 445-1500 to discuss your concerns with there not being any availability at their location. " in other words, Hyundai consumer affairs said that it could not require that capitol Hyundai perform the recall work. I am concerned that capitol Hyundai of san jose is refusing to repair my vehicle by blocking all appointment dates related to this recall.
