Windshield Problems of Hyundai Elantra

The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the contact became aware of a crack on the driver's side front windshield. The contact stated that the crack was in the line of sight while driving. In addition, the contact noticed a smaller crack on the passenger's side of the front windshield. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the contact was informed that the failure was not due to a manufacturing defect. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated whenever it rains, water enter into rear side of cabin of the vehicle. The contact stated she was unable to determine where the leak was coming from. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer Hyundai of auburn located at 823 opelika rd, auburn, al 36830, (334) 321-0777, where the vehicle was diagnosed with needing the front windshield to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

The inside of my front windshield and inside of back window always get a film on them when using my air vents. It is like a gas film that forms on the mentioned windows and it is not easy to get the film off. It just smears. This has been going on for a couple of years. No one seems to know why. Filters are replaced during oil checkups. What could be causing this annoying problem?.

The dealership continued to inform the contact that the water was coming from the windshield. This water leaked into the vehicle when it was raining. She stated that the dealership continued to replace and reseal the windshield. She stated that the dealership took to vehicle to auto concept, and the company called the water doctor. They informed her that it was possible that the rivets h popped in the roof . The contact stated that this a safety problem while driving, she could see with the water coming into the vehicle. She felt that there may be mold forming in the vehicle. The water came down on her feet, and came in on the gear shift. The contact will be calling the manufacturer to file a complaint. One morning last year, my wife and I discovered two small (1/8" dia. ) pock marks on the outer surface of our 2004 Hyundai Elantra's front windshield. The glass is labeled: korea autoglass laminated a. We assume that the marks were the result of stones or similar objects which flew up and hit the windshield while one of us was driving. We did not witness the event. Within a few days, we noticed that a surface crack had begun to "run" from one of the pock marks down the windshield - about 2 to three inches in length. A few weeks later, when we brought the car to the dealer for a recall fix unrelated to the windshield, we were told the crack was probably the result of the original dings and was therefore not a manufacturing defect. I have been driving since the late 1950s. Never on any car I have owned have I seen an entire windshield threatened by what began as minor damage such as was sustained by our Elantra. To date, the crack has increased down the windshield to about 8 inches, and appears headed for the lower windshield frame. I wonder if any drivers of Hyundais or other makes have reported a similar experience with windshield damage. I should think that a well-made quality laminated glass would be able to withstand what started as a minor mishap. Thank you. Sincerely, ken spalding .

When travelling at around 45mph, I noticed crack on windshield. I mmediately,went to dealer who told me that it's not cover in warranty. Replaced else where. It seems that my car picks up little debris form road especially driven on bridge /highway. I am afraid that my windshield will broke again and I may get hurt.

If window sslightly in rain, water pours in on arm rest console elec components.

Consumer was driving approximately 40mph when windshield began cracking on the passenger's side, there was no impact. Also, in may 98 the air vents were replaced, and were replaced again in November, 98, and February 99.

Within 17,000 miles the front brake pads has prematurely worn out, and rotors were resurfaced. Cause unknown. Dealer cannot identify the problem. Both front window fall while driving. Door ajar light stays on. Right door panel make noise. Dome light stays on.
