My 2023 Hyundai Elantra hybrid has has defective windshield washer nozzles 2 times so far. The factory nozzles clogged and had to be replaced. Then I got replacements installed under warranty by the local dealership. Those are now clogged exactly the same as the originals. The replacement nozzles failed much faster than the factory original equipment parts did. I am only using standard washer fluid. The fluid was tested by the dealership and is normal. Even high pressure compressed air can’t get through the nozzles at all. I am having a second replacement set ordered as of today. I suggest a recall or redesign of these defective nozzles. If you are driving just after it has rained and a passing vehicle hits a puddle and splashes dirty water all over your windshield you have no way to spray it off and clean it, so you can’t see where you are going at all. This is a major safety issue and will definitely cause an accident in such circumstances. It has been raining in my area several days per week for the past couple of months. There is lots of construction and road construction in many areas, so there is lots of dirt/mud after each rain on the roads. This creates a potentially dangerous and possibly life-ending situation if you are driving, get your windshield splashed with muddy water and can’t spray it off to clear it and can’t see where you are going suddenly, while you are on a highway. If you can’t see through the windshield you can’t even see if it is safe to pull off to the side of the road or not. These windshield nozzles need an emergency redesign and recall issued.

Windshield wipers will stop midway moving and stay in place at random times while switched on. Not related to rain droplet mode. Happens at random. Obstructs view of road.

The rear view backup camera doesn’t show. Some days it works most of the time it’s green and distorted. I know it’s common issue so it should be apart of the 21-22 Elantra recall.

My rear view camara has stop working and there is no recall available for my Elantra by VIN number. Is the same problem from the 24v879000 campaign. Please inform me if there is a recall for my car because it’s causing problems in visibility for reverse parking.

The windshield is damaged very easily when a small rock hits it on the road. It's been hit before the recall and the new windshield is damaged. It's a hazard especially if it can be easily cracked. I've had other vehicles that can handle small rocks on road ways. These are damages from tiny rocks. This windshield is very weak, the crack continues to spread all over day to day.

I took my car into Hyundai due to the recall sent out to car owners. I had my abs and brake light that went on randomly around September. I scheduled an appointment and took it in to get it checked. Hyundai sent me away stating there were no parts to fix the issue and told me to pay for a diagnostic if I needed it looked at and to wait until the recall is remedied. Two months later my car exploded and caught fire while parked on my property putting my life and home at risk. As well as my neighbors lives who came in to help me put out the fire.

The front power window motors on both the driver and passenger have both failed twice. This leaves the widow in the down position until it can be repaired which caused a safety hazard.

Small crack in windshield caused by a twig less than 4 inches long with a diameter smaller than the width of. Finger. Another small crack in windshield. Do not know how it occurred contacted local windshield repair business and was advised, per manufacturer they only replace the windshield. Looked online and see that the windshield issue is a known defect. I have an elderly father that lives in north carolina and I’m gonna have to replace my glass because I don’t want another twig to fall in and burst out my entire windshield when I’m driving down the highway.

Just driving down the road and the drivers side front window fell down. I tried to push the switch for to make it go lback up because it was windy and rainy. It just made the window drop down more. I was wondering if anyone else has had this complaint . It’s pulled back up and taped but it won’t go back up and tape keeps coming loose. It’s expensive to fix . I also fixed my trunk latch which was on a recall because when I called the dealer at that time there was no recall on it. I was stuck at walmart and it wouldn’t close. The dealer wanted over 700 to fix trunk latch so I bought the part to fix it but I am checking to see if anyone else has complained on the window motor .

Problem with the braking system brakes fail! piñon is junk wipers shot engine has always sounded like it was its last ride won’t shift then the rpm’s go up sometimes gotta use the safety lock key to get it in gear.

After driving the vehicle at night and turning the engine off certain exterior lighting components would not shut off. Turn signals and reverse lights and brake lamps we stuck in a static on position even when not being activate by turn signal switch or brake pedal being depressed.

On my new car my backup camera has gone out in less than 7000 miles, and from what I have seen is a known defect that the Hyundai line of vehicles have and I want to make it more know of the defunct camera they are selling.

Driver's side rearview mirror smashed by vandal. This is because of having to park away from structures due to Hyundai's recall # 251. The original recall notice was apparently dated 9/22/23, but no remedy is yet available. That's 4 months, and it's creating great hardship for me and probably many others. I am afraid to use my car because of possible engine fire and damage to people or other cars--but I need my car.

Had a crack on the windshield which was getting larger quickly. There was no damage caused by debris that I was aware of. Spoke to multiple dealerships and they refused to fix or even check if it was a defect. Went through insurance to get the windshield replaced but safelite said that it was not a damage but most definitely a defective windshield.

The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated while pulling the front drive side visor back in placed the visor could not stay in place. The vehicle dealer taken to the dealer and the dealer stated that the visor had fracture and the visor was replaced. On another occasion the front passenger side visor fracture. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the stated that the visor had to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and the manufacturer did not provide any assist. The failure mileage was 127,000.

Back windshield is completely bubbled and pealing. I’ve noticed this year is notorious for it.

I was driving on the turnpike and the truck in front of me was carrying material that caused my windshield to be soiled. I tried to clean but water did not come out of windshield wiper. I had to exit and clean manually. I was surprised no water because the car has only 2,700 miles and is 5 months old. I tried to fill with water but water dripped out. Next day I took to Hyundai dealer who told me rodents ate the hose. They charged me $252. 43 to replace hose. I read online many claims against Hyundai for using soy based products in the engine components that attract rodents. I learned that two of my friends who own Hyundai's had similar problems with rodents eating wires and hoses. If it was at night when my windshield was compromised I could have had an accident. Hyundai has turned a defect into a moneymaker. Shame on them! please help.

While turning right at an intersection,sunvisor popped and dropped obstructing my view of the roadway. From initial view to sunvisor obstruction a motorcyclist turn across my intended direction ,due to sunvisor obstructing view,almost caused accident with motorcyclist.

I have had to replace my windshield from debris twice this year and have a crack filled in today. One small rock can make a crack and usually it takes a while for spidering to occur, but the Hyundai Elantra windshields are so temperature sensitive and must be super thin that over the course of one day in colder (below 50° f) and hotter (above 90° f) spidering occurs in a matter of hours. It is both a huge inconvenience to customers and a safety issue. Hyundai appear to have settled class actions on their faulty windshields in the past so I’m not surprised that this is an issue, but I want more to be done. I know it’s a small problem but to be on my 3rd windshield and only owning the car 1 year being the first owner is a huge problem to me.

The back windshield where the tinting is placed continuously peels or has bubbles in the tinting causing me not to be able to see safely or accurately.

My car was parked in front of my house on street. I found rear hatch glass shattered from the inside. There was glass several feet away from car on road. There are no rocks etc. Inside or outside of car. This is the second time this has happened. The first time was June 2021 at an event I was attending. Same thing, glass exploded everywhere. We assumed it was due to the heat (it was in the high 80's that day). The flying glass could have hurt someone nearby. The technician who looked at the car could not explain how it happened.

I have an issue with my paint peeling off the hood and other parts of my car in large sections during rain and high winds adhering to the windshield hindering my field of vision at times. This has forced me to stop the vehicle on the roadside and remove it in order for me to continue. The paint peeling on the pearl white vehicles is a known issue since 2010. I've contacted the manufacturer numerous times over the past two years and they basically told me that they already knew about it and OH well. There's nothing they're going to do because the warranty has expired.

When putting the driver side sun visitor down at first it would just make a clicking sound. Then one day would not go all the way back up. When I checked , above the mirror on right hand side by the arm, the white plastic trim for the visor is broken so the visor is just kind of hanging. Somewhat blocks vision.

While driving on a city road my sunroof exploded sounding like a gun shot or very loud pop. My visor was closed so glass didn't landed on me.

Windshields safety defect � Hyundai Elantra 2020 greetings, I am writing to inform you of my purchase of a defective brand-new Hyundai Elantra less than three weeks ago on January 06, 2020, from bob baker Hyundai in carlsbad, California. While test driving the car, I noticed a haziness to the windshield when driving directly into the sun. I was told by a Hyundai salesman, stephan back that this haziness might be dirt and that the dealership would wash the car before I took it home thus taking care of the problem. Later, after a careful examination, I observed that the windshield had a speckle defect causing massive scattering and haziness of my field of vision when driving directly into the sun, a frequent driving condition here in southern California. I also observed that this defect exists in all six car windows (front windshield, four side windows and back windshield). This defect is particularly noticeable since I commute early mornings and evenings, times when the sun is low and directly in my field of vision. I want to emphasize that this manufacturing defect impairs the drivability of the car and is a considerable risk to my personal safety. It is hard for me to determine if this defect might not also be causing a mechanical degradation of the windshield's strength. On January 24, 2020, I took the vehicle back to the dealership and met with david bechtel, the sales manager. During this meeting the Hyundai representative easily detected and confirmed the windows� defect. This representative also told me that the dealership was aware of this defect and that other customers had reported this issue I also learned that I am not the only customer that has had this complaint and that the vehicle was knowingly sold to me in this condition. Tl the contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. While driving approximately 55 mph, the passenger side visor suddenly exploded. There were no injuries. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.

While driving the vehicle anywhere at 35 mph or more with the sunroof tilted or open, massive amounts of air come through drivers side window to the inside of car. This makes it impossible to hear emergency sirens or your stereo. This is a safety hazard!!.

Over the course of my ownership my sun visors both driver side and passenger have loosened and now have come loose from the housing, causing them to not work properly. They now will not stay up completely and when you hit a bump they pop down unexpectedly hampering your vision causing a huge hazard. This happens every time I drive and have to remove them and try to find replacements to keep from dieing on the highway.

As I was driving home in rain the wipers stopped and resumed about 10 seconds later. After 5 minutes the wipers again stopped and resumed about 10 seconds later.

Tl the contact rented a 2018 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated that the front windshield had rainbow streaks on 45 percent of the glass. The dashboard and steering wheel were reflected on the glass, which obstructed the contact's view. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 179,012.

I leased my 2017 Hyundai Elantra brand new. The thermostat had to be replaced after 3 days and the car had heat for the next 3k miles. Since then the car has had poor heat and eventually just stopped producing any heat. A Hyundai rep was able to recreate the problem and updated the computer in my car. Hyundai has said my car heat has been tested and is now operational. However, my car still has no heat to defrost the windshield. The car takes a half hour of idling to warm up the engine halfway and even then the car doesn't have any heat to defrost the windshield. I live in new england where it's very cold in the winter and can't get enough heat in my car to defrost the windshield to see to drive my car. Hyundai refuses to do anything more about the heating issue, even though it's under warranty because they say it is operating as designed. I believe this is a safety issue because I can't see out the windshield.

Sunroof exploded 5am in the morning on highway 405 traveling to redmond wa. , I was not near any underpasses, or bridges. The window sound made a loud bomb noise and them I heard glass breaking. It was going to rain the rest of the day so I took black duct tape and taped the glass so that the integrity of the glass would hold and not continue to shatter and it would not destroy my head liner.
