1 Engine Overheat problem

The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe sport. While driving 74 mph, the engine began to overheat and the temperature gauge increased steadily towards to 'h' zone, which indicated that the engine was becoming increasingly hot. The contact pulled over to the right side of the road and turned off the air conditioning to replenish the coolant system. Autonation Hyundai in columbus, georgia was made aware of the failure and stated that the cause of the failure could not be determined. A process of elimination would have to occur in terms of replacement parts to determine a potentially successful repair of the condition. In addition, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v226000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the dealer stated that the vehicle did not exhibit the symptoms of the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and provided the contact with case number: 104-81-699. The failure mileage was 109,000.
