P205 65 r16 blizzak tires were purchased in December 2023, online and I had them installed same week. I spoke to the employee who stated as long as I rotated the tires at 5,000 miles, I can drive them all year. I went to discount tires on Saturday to have my tires checked since I was sliding in the rain. The employee told me my front tires were at a 1 and 2, while the back tires are at 9 and 10. She told me to talk to the front desk about the tires. I went in and asked about the warranty I had purchased. The employee told me it does not apply and that I would need to replace the tires. I explained to him that the car doesn't even have 5,000 miles on it since the purchase of the tires and how did the front wear so quickly? I only started using the car more in March. He also told me it could be the alignment. I had that fixed 2 years ago and the car doesnt pull left or right. He stated that the tires will bald if being driven in over 40 degree temps. I have in the past used winter tires all year and never experienced this. These tires never made it to 5,000 miles. They should not be worn so badly in the front, that this had now cause my back breaks to grind. Not only do I have to buy 4 new tires, since I can't keep the back on there, but I have to eventually get new back brakes, that aren't even 2 years old. These tires should not be on anyone's cars if they wear this quickly.

I own a 2019 Hyundai Sonata with an original manufacturer set of 205/65 r16 95h kumho solus ta31 tires on it. I noticed around a month ago that all 4 of the tires have cracks in between the treads, mostly on the outer and inner treads of the 4 tread areas. These cracks are all around and significant. I am afraid to drive on them. I have brought this defect to the attention of kumho tires over the phone and to the dealership I bought my car from. There is approximately 34,000 miles currently on my car. These tires are supposed to rated for 60,000 miles. They are trying to tell me that they will not warranty their tires with ozone or weather cracking over 4 years old from the date of the tire manufacture stamped on the tire. I believe this is not weather related. I believe it is a defect in the tire and they are trying to blame weather. Even if the problem is what they call "weather" related that should not preclude a consumer/purchaser of a vehicle with their tires on it from pursuing a claim. Their tires should be able to withstand any "weather" and if not they should inform consumers as such. This is a "safety" issue and should not be taken lightly. I would like the NHTSA to investigate this issue further. Thank you.

215/55r17 94v bsw. . Contacted michelin about two (2) of the four (4) tires do not have the date of manufacture on side wall. These tires are direction specific. They should known that. Maybe the date of manufacture is on the inside wall but they should known the the tire is directional and be on both sides. I am not going to jack up my vehicle and remove the tire to check the code (if it is only on one sidewall). Will return tires to costco where purchased. Michelin has not responded to my emails. . .

I purchased (4 tires) 205/65r16 sumitomo htr a/s p02 for my vehicle in January 2019. In the past few months I’ve noticed a constant rumbling noise from the rear while driving. I have had my vehicle serviced for an inspection and oil change. Each time I received no recommendations during the multipoint inspections related to my tires. The last time I took it in I mentioned that I planned to purchase new tires and the mechanic looked at me strangely. He measured that my tire thread were at a 6 and he could not see any visible defects. Once the tires were rotated the noise moved from the back to the front. There is clearly a defect with the tire and it is out of warranty to be replaced.

These tires were purchaed on a new vehicle (factory tires) and have been rotated regularly, documentation available. The tread life/wear on the tire is premature. The vehicle has a 60,000 mile warrantly according to kumho's website. I was informed during my last tire rotation that this would be last before needing new tires. The vehicle has 37,900 miles when I was told this information on 4/2/18. The tire wear/life on these tires is evidently premature and I am requesting replacment tires or a pro-rated refund/credit.
Our 2014 Hyundai Sonata GLS 4-door sedan came equipped with kumho solus kh 25 tires, size 205/65r16. The car has approximately 27,000 miles. When removing a flat tire, I noticed that small chunks of rubber were coming off of the tire. I then checked the other three tires & found the same problem. Some of those rubber chunks coming off were along the edges & some were in the central part of the tires. I called the manufacturer & was referred to an authorized dealer, kauffman tires in this care. They claimed that this is not a warranty issue so they stated that nothing could be done except to sell me new tires & other car services. It seems to me that this is abnormal for tires to be failing after only approximately 27,000 miles. Since I'm concerned about safety, I will be replacing all four tires but not with kumho tires. I certainly never buy that brand of tire &, will check to see what brand of tires are on any car that I will buy in the future to be sure that they aren't kumho tires.

Kumho tires installed as original equipment wear prematurely. Tires were worn to 4/32 at 12,000 miles. New tire were installed and the car has been transformed. While the original tire may meet whatever applicable standards exist they were inadequate for the 2013 Sonata.
2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS consumer is experiencing noises coming from tires the consumer believed there was an design issue. The consumer believed the flat spots could reach a point where the tires would become susceptible to blowing up and causing significant damage. He also stated, there was an issue with the suspension.
Premature tire wear. Car has 11,500 miles. Tire wear as measured by the dealer is 5/32 rear and 4 /32 front. Neither dealer or tire manufacturer kumho thinks this is an issue or is willing to take any action. Both claim tire wear is not warrantied. Tires should not wear out this quickly and it seems obvious that the tires are not properly specified for this car, 2013 Hyundai Sonata.
Poor traction control in snow conditions. Unable to stop car for a red light. Unable to get up a small incline with out fishtailing.
Kuhmo tires constantly low air pressure refilled with nitrogen gas numerous times was told by dealership it was due to change in outdoor temperature ,normal for kuhmo. Eventually at 23000 miles was told that I needed to replace worn tires,no credit my, expense kuhmo doesn't warranty.

I purchased my car used in June 2012 with only 17000 miles on it. Currently it has less than 36000 miles on it. During a recent routine oil change and tire rotation, I was told by my mechanic that I would need tires soon. Looking at the tires, I saw he was right. I did not feel that my car should need tires with such low mileage. I looked at the warranty provided by hankook on their website. The warranty site confirmed that I should not need tires until after 50,000 miles as that is what their mileage warranty covers. When I called hankook to inquire about this issue, I was told the warranty did not apply to me since they were factory tires. I asked if the same tires were covered if purchased aftermarket. I was told yes they were covered. I do not understand why hankook will not cover the warranty on their tires, especially when they should still have over 20,000 of normal wear left. I am wondering if this is a safety issue since the tires should last much longer than they have. I should also mention that my driving habits are very normal and in normal conditions.

The contact stated that while driving 10 mph in the snow, the tires began to slip. The contact stated that he took the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that the tires needed to be replaced due to bad tread. The tires were not replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but a remedy was not provided. The failure mileage was 2,000. Updated 03/31/lj the consumer stated when the tires were cold, there was no grip, while driving in the snow, when the tires warmed up, the snow stuck to the tires.
Completely new vehicle (Hyundai Sonata limited 2012) with new tires as supplied by manufacturer Hyundai. Car kept skidding on a very light snow (less than half inch of snow), and tires would hold no traction. Happened repeatedly whenever there was even a light snow. Will not go up a gentle slope with snow. Has tires hankook optimo h-431.
The car was equipped with firestone tires and in 23,000 miles they had cupped. The dealer told me I had failed to keep the right amount of air in the tires and did not keep it aligned. I purchased a new set of tires and the same thing happened again. I went back to the place I purchased the tires from and they told me maybe the car is out of line and lined it up. Well since then the tires have only gotten worse. This is 2 sets of tires in less than 60,000 miles. The replacement tires cost me $600. 00. I do not like being told it is my fault when I have the tires rotated every 5000 miles. I went on line to see if I was the only one and learned there were others who are having the same problem. Help us .
I have kumho tires on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I currently have 25000 miles on it. I have complied with tire and balancing maintenance. The tire noise is so loud it is very distracting. I cannot concentrate on anything but the noise. The noise is so loud it is impossible to fully focus on the road because all I do is fidget because of the annoyance and listen to this noise. The noise is absolutely drives me nuts! it is hard to concentrate on driving with the insane tire noise all around me. After reading several similar complaints, I have decided to submit my own.
My car is one year old. I had perform recall campaign 928 on 7/23/22 and today the mechanic told me that my two front tires are wearing out. How am I going to claim for the damage and get fix with the alignments?.
I purchased a 2011 Hyundai Sonata se 2. 0t on 07/15/2011. During driving on highway speeds, the car is constantly pull to the left and its a quit significant pull. I took it to the dealer on 7/22/2011, their technition test drove it, it was pull to the left but he kept telling me this is normal. A lot of people having this issue and it is a major concern but Hyundai dealers are not recognizing it. Please try to address this issue as soon as possible. Thank you.
2009 Hyundai Sonata and oem hankook tires - optimo h426 one of the oem hankook tires has a buldge on the side wall. Have reached out to the vehicle manufacturer Hyundai, oem tire manufacturer hankook and its authorized representative sears to get it addressed as part of the oem warranty, but unfortunately have been denied. The tread on the tire (per sears technicians is less than 2/32) even though the car is 3 years old with only 24500 miles despite the mileage warranty on the hankook website to be listed as 60000 miles on these brand of tires. Not sure if any other consumers have faced similar issues around buldging of side walls, wear and tear of tread, etc for similar hankook tires.
Vibration in steering, grinding noise in transaxe, low tire pressure (by dealer), refusal to perform 3,750 mile maintince secdule (dealer refused).
The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Sonata with general exclaim tires, size p215/55/r17. The replacement tires were purchased on January 2, 2010. He replaced the driver's side front tire on March 20, 2010, which had a blister. The contact took the tire back to place he purchased it from and was advised that he did not purchase a warranty. The passenger side rear tire also had a blister. The failure mileage was 49,600 and the current mileage was 57,000.
On November 22, 2009 I purchased 4 new yokohama tires from ntb, mentor ohio who installed them on a 2007 hyandai Sonata, replacing the original michelin tires. The tires were as530, dot #cclm 825 1309 4 31911 size 215/55r17 94v, 31911. The tires were rated for mud and snow for 60,000. The tires appeared to perform fine, until it snowed. In snow, the tires had virtually no traction at all. This front wheel drive car performed very will for the first two years on its original michelin tires. With the new tires, the car literally got stuck repeatedly in snow in February, 2010. Finally, on February 27, 2010, my 16 year old daughter was driving the car. She was stopped at a busy intersection, waiting to turn left into a shopping maill across two lanes of traffic coming toward her in the opposite direction. All had green lights in both directions. When she had time to turn with a break in the traffic, the tires spun in the snow, delaying the turn. She was hit by an oncoming car because of this delay. Both cars were total losses, but nobody was injured. These tires should be recalled or at least lose the mud and snow designation. I have driven front drive cars for 30 years and never got stuck in snow. These tires are seriously defective. Please take them off the market.
The vehicle was traveling in the right hand lane, north bound on route 8 in connecticut (in the area of torrington) at approximately 65 mph at 12:30 pm on the January 10, 2010. It was a clear and sunny day with temperatures in the low to mid 30's. There were two passengers in the car (in the front seat) and two snow boards and some snowboarding equipment in the trunk. With no previous indication of a problem, the side wall of the driver's side rear tire failed in two places with a loud bang and an immediate loss of pressure. As soon as it was safe (about a half mile as this section of the highway has no shoulder) the car was stopped and the tire changed. The two holes in the tire are approximately three inches apart. One is 1" by 2". The other is 1/2" x 1 5/8". Both holes go through all layers of the tire. The material from the first hole was ejected from the tire. The air pressure in all tires was checked and set by key Hyundai of milford on November 14, 2009. The tread was checked by key Hyundai of milford on December 30, 2009 and found to be low but safe for a few thousand more miles. The exact tire line is energy mxv4 s8.

The contact owns a 2006 Hyundai Sonata which houses pirelli cinturato p3000 tires, line size p215/60/r16. While driving, he would hear an echoing howl from the front driver's side tire. The vehicle was taken to a tire specialist where rotation and balance was performed on the vehicle. He continued to hear the noise from the tire after it was rotated and took the vehicle back to the tire specialist. The tire specialist advised him that there may have been an issue with the shock absorber on his vehicle. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where they could not duplicate or diagnose the failure. They advised him that the tire may have been out-of-round and/or failing from the inside of the tire. The contact replaced the driver and passenger side front tires, which stopped the noise on the front driver's side of the vehicle. The failure mileage of the tire was 26,000 and the mileage on the vehicle at the time of the failure was 78,000. Updated 4/26/10 updated 05/06/10.

I have a 2003 Hyundai Sonata. I have had nothing but trouble with this vehicle. I purchased 2 sets of new tires in the past 4 years and have had roughly 15 flat tires. I also most recently almost killed myself and my 3 kids w/ having the tire rod almost crack. I had a bill of $385 to have just that one part to be fixed. I have been on hold for over an hour now for the recall number I received in the mail. I am a single parent and need to be reimbursed for my troubles as this was directly related to the recall letter I just received. Please contact me.
