Just recently while I was driving my radio and a/c unit on the dashboard blanked out and stopped working. Right after about a minute later the a/c came on full blast with the temperature at 68 along with the radio playing. At that time I was only able to operate the radio from the steering while. This makes me really nervous because I will soon need to use my defroster due to the climate change, I wont be able to see which could cause a serious accident. After researching and finding out this is a common problem with the 03 G35 Infiniti sedan, I called the dealer only to find out my car wasn't on the recall list. I don't understand why my car is not covered since it is the exact same model and experiencing the exact same problem. Please help with this issue.

My radio and dash goes out and my a/c comes on full blast with preset temperature and I can't do anything to turn it down or turn it off. Infiniti dealer said the radio control unit controls climate including a/c. Dealer said a radio circuit board was malfunction or defect. Infiniti said there was no recall. I'm really scary to drive in winter when I need defrost on and need to control climate. I heard so many Infiniti G35 owner has same problems.
The defroster, ac/heating system, radio, and selected lights on the dashboard fail randomly, causing the windows to fog in certain weather conditions, making it quite hazardous to drive. The system will automatically turn on, then the fan cycles to higher speeds about every 20 seconds. The heating/air system will become completely uncontrollable, rendering all defrost controls inoperable. During this time, the radio display turns itself off, and all controls on the face of the unit are disabled. The stereo can still be controlled by the steering wheel controls. All button lights remain off, while the center display, located just below the windshield, remains on. There has been a recall for the sedan version of this year/model vehicle for the same issue. The following is the service campaign number for the sedan recall: itb03-007.
I was entering onto the highway and my entire defrost / ac / radio cluster failed. The ac came on full blast, replacing the defrost!!! I had to pull over and park the car due to the safety factor of not being able to run my defrost. The issue is the ac, defrost, and radio stack controls stop working. There is no way to get them to work once the problem occurs. There has been a recall on this for G35¿s built in 2002 for the 2003 model year. My G35 was built in 2002 but when I called Infiniti they said my ¿engine is the wrong model Infiniti needs to fix this thru recall as this is a major safety issue concerning the defrost. I can only imagine if my 17 year old daughter had been driving and the defrost went out. I could have been a very rich man at the expense of my daughters life. I have read where thousands of G35 owners are having the same issue. I don¿t think any daughters life is worth the price to fix this already well documented issue. Infiniti needs to step to the plate. They already know of the issue but have turned a blind eye. I envision Infiniti getting blasted by law suits because this will kill someone. When that happens, Infiniti will not have a leg to stand on. The issue is too well documented for Infiniti to say they didn¿t know.
