Infiniti G35 owners have reported 3 problems related to engine belts and pulleys (under the engine and engine cooling category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I've recently been having issue with the engine where the car stalls. The car start fine when I do a cold start but when the car warms up the car stalls at times. I've been hearing a lot of the stories from other people on different forums where this is a common issue for this model. The culprit are either the trottle body which I had already replace three years back, the 2 cam position sensors and crank position sensor. I recently found out that there is a recall on the cam position sensors and crank position sensor. I'm hoping that that my VIN# is part of that recall. The second issue I have been having with this car is the radio and temperature control. That I recently had changed with the factory radio attached to the temperature control. The radio would stop working. I have no control over the temperature control and the ac unit would turn on by it self. I recently just installed an after market radio. With everything after buying what was required to do a double din conversion and installation. It cost me a good amount of money. Another issue this car has is the seat belt issue. It doesn't retract properly and the passenger side it's a chore just trying to put on the seat belt.

I bought my son a Nissan Infiniti G35 s make 2007. When driving, all of a sudden he noticed battery light on, brake light on and power steering quit working. Turning the steer was extremely hard, much much harder than a nonpower steering. Fortunately he has strong hands and is used to driving an old nonpower steering vehicle, hence he was able to still drive it. Most elderly, or females would end up with an accident, when at high speed, they can not turn the steering wheel. Especially if it happens without any warning at high speed. I took it to dealer. Found drive belt tensioner out of alignment with pulleys. Drive belt coming apart. Dealer replaced drive belt and drive belt tensioner for free. Within warranty time. But I think it is a safety hazard if it happens again to him or anybody. Hence I am notifying your agency so you can investigate and keep track.

I have a 2006 Infiniti G35 sedan. After I purchased the car. I noticed that there was noise coming from the cars belt during cold start. I took it to the dealer they said it was the belts. I got them changed. Its is still making noise. I have been on other forum sites and other people have the same problem. For some people the noise lasts a few seconds for other couple of minutes. I have always called Infiniti and told them about the problem. It is not only the 2006 that have them, its is the 2003,2004,2005 and 2006 from what I have heard.
