While driving the car the engine lights come on and the car shuts completely off, no power at all, no control of car at all. I almost had an accident. The car does start again. This has happened two more times since. Very scary. This is a huge safety concern. It happens without notice. I called Infiniti and was told my car was not manufactured at the plant they were calling recalls for. Well excuse me Infiniti your problem is wide spread and extremely dangerous (my infinity case number for this problem * well as my passenger airbag sensor problem they are not willing to address is 15697563). They informed me the airbag sensor was replaced in 2010 - it was not. I have the car-facts to prove this. Infiniti stated to bring my car back to norwood, massachusetts Infiniti for a diagnostic. I will do this this week but sadly expect the same run around I have received before. This car between the two safety issues I have reported above is at extreme crash and injury risk.
The car is having tons of electrical issues with climate control , radio and passenger air bag sensors. Body control module and seats. Car won't start and I have taken to 3 different shops and experts and cannot figure out issue with car. Car is not operable and won't start. Contacted infinity and they told me they don't have any open recalls. They don't offer any information or help on major car issues for a 2006 model. Please assist on this matter. Infinity is refusing to acknowledge all issues with electrical and bcm issues on G35's.

My srs light is blinking and I took it to tacoma Nissan of tacoma washington and they found code b1020 occupant sensor c/u (unit fail). This item has been recalled by Nissan for my 2007 Nissan G35 coupe but Nissan is claiming my VIN# was not included in recall.
The contact owns a 2005 infinity G35. The contact stated that the air bag warning lamp illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed that the passenger seat air bag sensor was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but refused to provided any assistance since the vehicle had already been repaired under recall NHTSA campaign number: 10v175000 (air bags , seats). The contact stated that the dealer reported that the vehicle was repaired under the recall but the repairs were never performed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 98,000. The current mileage was 98,050.
I had pulled up to drive thru window at the bank and put my car in park, with the engine running, when I finished my transaction I tried to put my car in drive but the gear shifter wouldn't move. I finally shut my car off and waited a few seconds and started it again and the shifter worked. It has also happened to me when I have started my car and tried to put it in reverse. It is intermittent. I also have an air bag sensor light flashing and hope they will include my VIN # in the recall but they haven't so far. Even in the expanded recall. I don't know why. When does our safety become important? my stereo/cd player also stopped working and I had to replace that. What good does all of these repetitive complaints do if the auto companies aren't made to repair all of them?.

While driving with a passenger, the passenger airbag sensor indicated that the airbag was off. I reported it to Infiniti, and they could not duplicate the problem. This has happened on at least a half a dozen or more occasions. It occurs at all speeds. When Infiniti checked into the issue they asked me how much the passenger weighed. The passenger has been myself and my boyfriend on various occasions. We each weigh about 170 pounds - no excuse for the airbag being off. Now that there is a recall, I am wondering why my Infiniti G35 is not included in this recall. It obviously has the same issue. Should we have an accident, and this issue is occurring, we fear that we will not have the safety that I intended to have when I purchased the vehicle.

On quite a few occasions when my wife or grown daughter is sitting in the front passenger seat the "airbag off" light is illuminated to indicate that they are not being properly protected by the airbag system. Every time I look to make sure they aren't sitting oddly in a way that would give a false reading to the sensor and they aren't. I've taken it to the dealer three times and they continue to tell me that it is ". . . Operating as designed. " I'd like to know what part of turning off the airbag when an adult-sized person is sitting in the seat is considered "as designed. ". This whole situation makes me quite concerned for the safety of my passenger every time I notice that the light is on. Infiniti seems to think that by telling me that there isn't a problem that everything is all right. That's definitely not how I see it!.

" during the most recent service call the service manager opened a formal case with the manufacturer but once again the message was the same as before. The manufacturer stated that there was no recall for his year, make, and model vehicle. The current mileage was 54,482 and failure mileage was approximately 53,000.

Air bags disabled sensor remains on. I have taken vehicle to have repaired at Nissan dealer twice, but each time the disabled sensor will come back on. I filed complaint with Infiniti but after the initial contact the assigned agent would not respond to my phone calls after they discovered what the complaint was about. The complaint was file in April of 2009 with Infiniti corporation. This vehicle was still under warranty at the time the company stopped responding to my complaint about the air bag disabled sensor coming on. The repairs and complaint are in Infiniti's corporate files. The vehicle was taken to pearson inifiniti in richmond, va to be repaired twice for the sensor before I file a complaint with the corporation. The vehicle still has not been repaired. The problem started when the vehicle had about 35,000 miles on the odometer.
Passenger airbag sensor disables when passenger is less than 120lbs. Infiniti dealership said it was recurring issue with the car, and Infiniti consumer relations person said it was an "recurring problem" with the G35s. Infiniti referred me to dealership who will review if the sensor can be replaced and fix the problem, but dealer said it was "the way it was designed so that airbags won't deploy if a child is in the front seat". My wife is under 120lbs. She's not a child.
Leased vehicle, highway driving and very limited local/city driving. Brakes had 'grinding' noise whenever initially applied and I was told by dealer that was how the "european brake system" sounds -? required front brake pads/rotors replaced at ~ 19,000 miles 8 months after acquiring the car. Rear brake pads/rotors then had to be replaced 13 months after acquiring the car at ~ 29,000 miles. Was told when had car in for faulty air bag light ~ 6 weeks ago front pads were worn to 4. 5 mm. Car is in for 38k service now and it is suspected I am going to have to replace the front brake pads, again after only 19,000 miles since new pads were put on!.
The contact owns a 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe. The contact stated that all of the vehicle's air bags deployed while it was parked at the dealer. Both the dealer and the manufacturer could not determine the cause of failure. The dealer stated that the only way for the failure to have occurred was if the air bag sensor was triggered during an accident. Infiniti sent a specialist to inspect the vehicle, but was also unable to determine the cause of failure. The contact stated that the dealer would call the contact back with further information in regards to the vehicle, but has not heard from them yet. He contacted a lawyer who stated that the vehicle does not fall under the state's lemon laws because the vehicle has not met the state's requirement of being serviced three times. The vehicle is still under warranty. The current mileage is 56,000 and failure mileage was 55,000.
- the contact stated that the passenger's air bag light kept blinking on and off on the 2006 Infiniti G35. The dealer can't determine out what was the cause of the failure. The contact contacted the manufacturer ,and they stated that it was normal for the air bags light to blink, but they were not sure until they pin point the failure. The current and failure mileage was 5000. Updated 04/05/07.
