While driving and turning right the vehicle shifted out of gear to neutral and the emergency brake light activated. Also, the service air bag, service shifter and the engine light came on. Furthermore, all the shifter lights came on. While sitting in the middle of traffic I turned the car off and on to reset it, then I was able to move the vehicle and the service shifter light came on again. I was able to drive the car back to my house 5 miles away. This is not the first time the service shifter light came on. I have a scheduled diagnosis with my dealership's service center in seven days. I made the appointment when the first time the service shifter light came on. They did not advise me not to drive the vehicle. But, after the last incident the vehicle is not safe to drive.
While driving at interstate speeds of 70-75 mph, the motor revved up to 3500 rpm's and I discovered that the car had lost propulsion and would not pull. I was able to coast onto the shoulder and stopped. I took the gearshift out of drive and placed it into park. I put it back into drive, and it began to work again. This first occurred in July of 2018. It happened several more times where-in the car appeared to shift out of gear even though the shifter was in the d position. I took it to the dealer and was told that there was a recall and the computer needed updating. This service was performed on that day. Since then, the vehicle has continued to appear to jump into neutral while I am driving at highway speeds. The motor will revv, and the vehicle stops pulling. I took it back to the dealer today and was told that there was nothing wrong with it.
