Dashboard Failed problems of the 2006 Jeep Commander

The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 137,000.

2 Dashboard Failed problem

Failure Date: 09/23/2013

The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that the dashboard gauges failed sporadically. An unknown warning indicator illuminated followed by all of the indicators on the instrument panel illuminating. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 89,000.

Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. The contact received NHTSA campaign number:14v438000 (electrical system). The contact stated while driving at an unknown speed, all of the lights on the dashboard failed to illuminate intermittently. The failure recurred several times, then the air bag light would intermittently illuminate. The vehicle was taken to the dealership for diagnostic testing but there was no diagnosis. The contact also mentioned that the failure continued to occur and all of the electrical components failed to operate on the vehicle. The traction control light had also intermittently illuminate. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unknown. Mm.

4 Dashboard Failed problem

Failure Date: 01/02/2013

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the park assist warning light illuminated and the vehicle suddenly failed to accelerate. In addition, the gauges failed. The contact also stated that the vehicle stalled on multiple occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The contact stated that NHTSA campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system) was received in July 2014. The dealer and the manufacturer were contacted on multiple occasions and was informed that the part was not available. The failure mileage was 70,000. Djr.

5 Dashboard Failed problem

Failure Date: 01/14/2012

The contact owns 2006 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that when trying to start her vehicle it would stall intermittently. The instrument panel speedometer gauge failed and would not display how fast the vehicle was traveling and the windshield wipers would not operate when they were turned on. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who advised her that they were unable to diagnose the failure stated it could be related to the negative side of the can-b bus. The manufacturer was contacted and they offered no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was approximately 82,000.
