The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. While driving various speeds, a grinding sound emitted from the vehicle and it jerked forward. The abs warning light illuminated. The contact mentioned that the failure occurred when the vehicle was first started and then operated normally. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that an unknown sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was previously serviced per NHTSA campaign number: (service brakes, hydraulic). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 163,350.

2 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2007 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 01/08/2013

My 2006 Jeep Commander v-6 is showing esp, bas codes as well as disabling back up assist, traction control stays off, the abs light, and some times it wont click into gear, drive or reverse. And it is miss fireing on cylinder number four. Also all the lights dim and flicker.
