1 Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 2006 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 05/09/2017

After having the recalled ignition and tcm replaced/reprogrammed the esp,bas and traction lights come and the two driver side brakes and tires lock up, makes a terrible grinding noise, and the vehicle slides while trying to make a turn. This problem occurs while the vehicle is in motion and without warning.

2 Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 2007 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 12/31/2010

The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph, the abs, esp and the slippery when wet warning lights illuminated. She then attempted to accelerate when the driver side rear wheel suddenly locked and began to exhibit an unusual grinding noise. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who had not yet contacted her back with a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 53,800.

3 Brake Grinding Noise problem of the 2006 Jeep Commander

Failure Date: 10/24/2009

The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing numerous electrical failures. The lights on the instrument panel and the dome light would stop illuminating intermittently, and the vehicle would stall while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they were unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was also informed that a previous owner replaced the wiring harness, but the failures continued. In addition to the electrical failures, the contact also stated that a grinding noise could be heard coming from the brakes whenever they were applied. The failure mileage was 32,000 and the current mileage was 68,000.
