Radiator Problems of Jeep Commander

The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Commander. While driving various speeds, the vehicle lost power. The accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to accelerate. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. All the gear selections illuminated on the instrument cluster. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine, radiator, spark plugs, and multiple parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The VIN was later included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v438000 (electrical system); however, the part needed to repair the vehicle was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000. The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. On may 22, 2007, while driving 70 mph, the engine failed. The failure occurred several times previously. All of the lights on the instrument panel illuminated after the engine failed. The contact stated that the vehicle restarted immediately after each failure. That same day, anti-freeze began spraying out of the vehicle's grill. The dealer stated that a rock created a hole in the radiator, but could not show proof of this to the contact. The engine size was unknown. The current mileage is 24,200 and failure mileage was 24,000.
