Tl the contact owns a 2018 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. The instrument panel indicated shift to desire gear or place vehicle in park. A secondary message stated automatic start could not be detected. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to three rivers Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram (2633 w liberty Ave, pittsburgh, PA 15216), to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 26,800.
