Brakes squeak and squeal when coming to a stop or slowing down from 2mph down to 0. The noise has gotten worse over time. I have taken the Jeep to two different dealerships with one finally changing the brake pads and rotors at 5k miles! issues cont. Was only told that a star case was opened and I was able to drive away in my squeaky vehicle. Issue not fixed and I'm fed up with Jeep! the vehicle had been in and out of the service dep. Numerous times. Must be a lemon.

The read shoe brakes continuous noise in the brakes. Jeep paid for replacement of drums and pads. Only resolution by car dealership to go in reverse to remove the noise.

The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the brake pads needed to be replaced. While on the lift, the mechanic noticed holes on the frame and severe rust. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 118,000.

Brakes have been squeaking from day one ,took to dealer on 03-23-15,they replace pads and turned rotors also did the same with rear brakes . Few weeks later doing same thing and still getting louder. This occur when backing out parking place.

The contact owns a 2011 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop until after several attempts. The failure occurred continuously when driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to three different authorized dealers who stated the front brake pads and rotors would need to be replaced. 2007 Jeep Compass issues with brakes pads, rotor suspension ,tie rods,ball joint, struts, swaybar, swingbar full front suspension and front brakes and rotors. In 1/20/10 I brought me Jeep Compass in because of noise found out that I need struts front brakes and rotors outer tie rods a wheel alignment it cause me over a thousand dollars now 4 months later I have more issues with the car so I bring it back now they said that I need ball joint swaybar swing bar and bearings and the rear brakes and rotors etc this is going to cost me 1300 now that I think about it I never had a car that had so many problems my car has only 29000 miles its 3 years old why does it need this much work even the mechanic says this car has alot of issues whit the front end and steering and suspension and I owned other cars that are old and have not any issues with the car except the replacing brake pads and oil changes there has to be an issue that I think should be looked at why these parts are failing so soon thank you.
