Jeep Compass owners have reported 2 problems related to camshaft position sensor (under the electrical system category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I purchased my Jeep Compass January of 2020. Summer of 2020 my camshaft and crankshaft sensor went out completely shutting down my car, then January of 2021 my camshaft sensor went out again. This time I was driving on the highway and my cars check engine and traction control light switched on at the same time and slowed the speed of my car. I've replaced my camshaft 3 times already this month and I'm still getting the same code of p0365.

I purchased my 2015 Jeep Compass sport January of 2020. Summer of 2020 I had to replace my camshaft sensor and my crankshaft sensor becuase my car completely shut down while I was at work and would not start. This year January of 2021 I was driving home on the highway going 65 mph while it was snowing heavily and my cars check engine light and traction control light came on at the same time and slowed the power of my car in the middle of the highway. I got my car read and the code came back as p0365. I have had the cam shaft sensor replaced 3 times already this month and I'm still experiencing the same problem. Again on my home from work on the highway at night my cars check engine light and traction control light came on and slowed down my car. I took the back roads home as I did the first time this happened and noticed that when I drove my car would randomly accelerate on its on and hesitate to pick up speed one I had stopped or pressed my foot to the gas pedal.
