Four problems related to front suspension shock absorber have been reported for the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

Front and rear shock absorbers fail and leak fluids requiring replacment. First incident, front an rear shocks replaced at 36000 miles. At 54,000 miles the same problem happened again. Chrysler admitted on the phone that they had problems with the shocks. Chrysler refuses to replace defective shocks. Ride and handling are affected negatively.
While driving could step on brake pedal and steering wheel will shake. Brake rotors had to be replaced three times already. All shock absorbers need replacement at 23,000 miles.
Whenever exiting vehicle after traveling shocks on passenger's side failed. Dealer was not able to fix vehicle.
