Front Suspension Shock Absorber problems of the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee

1 Front Suspension Shock Absorber problem

1999 Grand Cherokee Jeep. . Limited edition. . The shocks freeze up or the fluid is freezing up. . It is fine in the summer. . But just as soon as it turns cold the shocks freeze. This Jeep is kept in a garage. . Not outside. . It sounds horrible when you drive it. It starts as soon as it turns the least bit cold.

2 Front Suspension Shock Absorber problem

Failure Date: 06/21/2003

Front and rear shock absorbers fail and leak fluids requiring replacment. First incident, front an rear shocks replaced at 36000 miles. At 54,000 miles the same problem happened again. Chrysler admitted on the phone that they had problems with the shocks. Chrysler refuses to replace defective shocks. Ride and handling are affected negatively.

3 Front Suspension Shock Absorber problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2000

While driving could step on brake pedal and steering wheel will shake. Brake rotors had to be replaced three times already. All shock absorbers need replacement at 23,000 miles.

4 Front Suspension Shock Absorber problem

Whenever exiting vehicle after traveling shocks on passenger's side failed. Dealer was not able to fix vehicle.
