Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problems of the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Six problems related to front suspension wheel bearing have been reported for the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem

Failure Date: 11/22/2005

Tie rod ends replaced . Cooling fan sensor , front wheel bearings, rear differential completely rebuilt, what's next? will never buy a Chrysler product again!!!!!!!!.

2 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem

Failure Date: 02/14/2004

Because front wheels were running hot and vehicle was vibrating when using the brakes, front wheel bearings had to be replaced at 62,000 miles. Chrysler "800+ added care" waranty does not cover those bearings on 4wd Jeeps but does cover them on front-wheel drive Jeeps (?).

3 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem

Failure Date: 10/18/2002

Consumer states vehicle was taken in on a routine visit. Mechanic stated rear bearing is defected, and ring and pinion is damaged. Please provide any further information. Mr.

5 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem

Front wheel bearings had to be replaced. Please add further information.

6 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem

Failure Date: 12/22/1998

Bushings replaced three times, greased 2 times, brakes the major complaint cause the vehicle to violently shake at speeds above 50mph causing almost loss of control over the vehicle. Rotors warped three times, pads replaced 3 times machined 4 times. Fuel pump replaced once hard start. Needed a spark plug got stuck on highway when vehicle conked out. . . . . . .
