1 Camshaft Position Sensor problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2007

The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving various speeds on a bumpy road, the vehicle stalled when the contact's knee struck the ignition key. The dealer found no failure with the vehicle, but suggested that the contact remove everything except the ignition key from the key ring. The failure recurred two weeks later and the dealer replaced the crank and cam shaft sensors. The failure recurred a third time and the dealer replaced the ignition switch. The failure recurred three years after the last repair. The vehicle was not repaired again. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 3,500. Updated 8/19/cn.
