Odometer fraud. The contact purchased a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the mileage was 116,000, and after taking the vehicle to a certified mechanic, the carfax report indicated that the actual mileage was 167,000. The contact had not reported the odometer fraud to another agency.
