Failure Date: 11/02/2018

Recall has been open for years regarding the ignition switch but Chrysler never has the part. Further, this car has numerous reports of braking issues that are sporadic and it caused me to rear-end a vehicle on Nov. 2, luckily at a very low rate of speed. I let my foot off the brake to inch forward and it would not engage again when I pressed it again moments later. Mechanic couldn't replicate the issue but that is typical for Chrysler it seems.

It starts with the engine light coming on then all the gears have the circle around all the gears . For example it likes like I'm in drive, reverse, park and neutral. When I'm parked. Then from there if I' have to stop or yield for and reason it's sometimes hesitante to move. Very scary.

Another car was on its way down the parking isle I was parked in and almost hit me because the driver was anticipating that my vehicle would have kept moving. I got out of my vehicle and apologized to the young lady who had almost hit me and explained to her the situation. She said, "you should really get that fixed. You could cause an accident. " I was upset, to say the least, but needed to get back to work. I started my vehicle two more times, in addition to the first attempt, and attempted to put it in gear - no success. 18 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2015

I have 2 recalls from Jeep and nothing has been done for years, they are p41/NHTSA 14v-438 and p73. Every time I go into the dealership they say they can't get the parts. The forms they send out don't have a date on them so they are Smart enough not to have any incriminating evidence as to how long the customer sits on these and they are waiting for an accident or the customer sells the car and the paper work gets lost. These vehicle manufacturers need to be jacked up a little bit and be given an ultimatum to get these recalls fixed before something serious is caused by there criminal intent to not to fix these recalls.

19 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2014

I could have killed someone if oncoming traffic was involved! I then received a ticket for unsafe lane deviation and was taken to waukesha county jail under the assumption that I was drinking and driving after I attempted to show the officer the recall for my vehicle. Pending my court date, I could receive a possible owi charge. I am very upset about this because that is an $800 fine and will also cause my insurance premium to increase.

While driving my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee (11/8/14) I was at a red light and the vehicle just cut off! When stopped at a stop light on a very congested road. I pressed the accelerator to proceed when the light turned green. I experienced a slow sluggish start so I pressed the accelerator further to the floorboard, there was no response by the engine. Car proceeded at a slow rate of speed (10 mph with rpm's at 2500). I had to pull off to the side of the road and restart car which did somewhat fix the problem. I have experienced this numerous times now, usually occurs when the car is shifting in 1st and 2nd gear. My concern is when I pull into a right of way and the car does not properly accelerate I put myself and passengers at a safety risk of being collided in the rear of my car by another car.

Failure Date: 12/06/2013

Jeep performed an n23 recall on 10/5/13 on my vehicle as a response to a former consumer complaint about Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles slipping into neutral while parked. After completing the recall, which reprogrammed the final drive controller module, I left the dealership and discovered that my vehicle could no longer enter 4 wheel drive low and receives a service 4wd system light. I have been notified by other owners that this recall had a similar effect on their Jeeps. I contacted the dealer service department and they knew of no available fix. The service tech manager stated that 1 in 3 vehicles that have had the n23 recall result in the same problem. He says it is likely that 1 in 3 is the same proportion of people who actually attempt to use their 4 wheel drive low. On approximately Dec 6, 2013, during an ice storm, my vehicle became stuck on the side of the road. I needed to utilize my 4wd low to get back onto the roadway and was not able to.

On the second attempt, the vehicle restarted with no mil illumination.

Failure Date: 10/07/2013

As I was driving my car jerked real hard and all my dash lights came on and my ability to drive my car was useless. My Jeep slowed down on the freeway during morning rush hour traffic almost causing several accidents. As I was trying to restart my Jeep it just keep making a clicking noise and wouldn't stop. I had to pull the key from the ignition and reinsert the key and try to start the Jeep. After 3 tries it started and I went to drive off and as I was accelerating my Jeep did it again finally it stayed on and I was able to drive to a safe location. My Jeep sounded real strange not like normal. This is the 5 or 6th time this has happened since I had my Jeep not even a year to date.

Vehicle run perfectly. Took vehicle in for recall n23.
