When the right turn signal is on the fog lights flash and the turn signal does not blink. When I turn the fog light button on my turn signal lights up but does not blink. Took it to the dealer and they said it was the tipm that was faulty. Now after I got it back both front turn signals do not work and the back flashes fast and sometimes flashes normally. Also back when I bought the car a year ago in June 2017 the car would start and I would let the engine warm up but about 20 seconds in, it would stall. When driving it would usually stall when I was breaking at stop lights and stop signs. I replaced the camshaft positioning sensor about 3 times so far and still feel the engine losing power at times.

Engine stalls without warning while driving at any speed. All gauges including speed, rpm's, temp, fuel, etc. All stay for a few seconds after stalling and then all drop off. The Jeep gc used to start up after a few seconds and was once in a while at first with this issue. Then it became more often that he Jeep would stall, the same thing with the dash for a few seconds the speed, rpm's, etc. Would be at where it was before stalling with no power steering or power brakes while moving. Very hard to steer on curves when the Jeep stalls. Put in a pcm, crankshaft sensor, & camshaft sensor. Ase mechanic stumped on issue. Very dangerous driving and reminds me of the gm ignition switch problems. And I have seen forums on the Jeep Grand Cherokee on my year that there are a lot of problems with this. Please look into this problem, because it seems like a manufacture defect.

I was driving along on the highway about 65 mph and all of a sudden the engine light oil light and the 23. Electronic throttle control (etc) warning light all came on in that order and the engine just died. . No safe place to park and no power steering but was able to get it in a driveway off the road. . It would crank but not turn over. . Had to have it towed home. . Called Chrysler to see if it had any recalls and they said there were none. . Then had it scanned read p0340 camshaft sensor had that replaced still did not work. . The mechanic called two days later and said that it was the tipm module and had it towed over to the dealership. . He said he had to dig to find the recall and that my Jeep was manufactured in feburary 2010 and it falls into the recall. . This is not the first time I have had electrical issues such as the radio shutting down and restarting for no reason the remote having new batteries and not unlocking the vehicle. .

My car keeps cutting off while driving. It has done this several times on highway, rural roads and main roads. It has caused me to almost have several wrecks. When the car cuts off, I lose all power. I have been stranded several times. I have had to walk back home or get someone to come get me if it was further away. I have had to use someone car because I am afraid it will do it and I will wreck my brother-in-law was killed in a similar accident. After a while the vehicle will start again, but does the same thing over and over again. It started off about 1 month after I purchased it, when I would just crank the car and the first time it would not crank but the 2nd time it would. In the last 2 weeks it has become more frequent occurance. When I put it in neutral to see if it will crank. It does and then I put in drive. It cuts off again. I have to pull over to the side of the road no matter where you are and sometimes if you are going on the highway at the speed and your car cuts off, you lose power and could easy wreck. If I was to pull out and it cut off, I could be hit and killed or a family member in the car with me. I was stranded recently, a gentleman came over and brought some equipment when I told him what had happened and he told me that it could be either the crank shaft sensor or camshaft sensor that is bad. He also said there could be a recall on some vehicles of that model year.

I was driving on the freeway when my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee v8 4. 7l just stalled out without any warning. It took about 1 hour to start back up. Then it died about five times after that. My Jeep also stalls out when I'm sitting at a stop light waiting for the light to change than bomb just like that my Jeep stalls out. Most the time I can start it, but some times I can't start my Jeep until the next day. I almost get slammed about 10 times already. I don't feel safe in the Jeep. . I replaced my fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft positions sensor, battery, battery terminals, and my oil pressure sensor. Nothing has helped my stalling! nothing! I took my Jeep to 2 different mechanics and they can't figure it out. I also called the Jeep dealership here in albuquerque, new mexico and I talked to the techs and mechanics and they all said they never seen that before. I call bs on that. If you look on google and type 2000 Jeep stall out, there's 100's even 1,000's of people dealing with the stall out problem. I don't feel safe in my Jeep at all!! I don't even want my 6 year old in the Jeep when I'm driving, sad thing is this is my only car!! please help investigate this problem. Thanks 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee v8 4. 7l.
I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee were I first expirenced problems in oct 2012 with the harness wires and I took it to the dealer and they repaired the wires inside then again 4 months later it happened again and I just had them replace them a 3rd time 03/13 /13 and after 2 weeks of having it home now my Jeep wont start I have it towed to dealer once again they said I need a crank shaft sensor replaced I have them replace it and they tell me it wasnt the problem that now I need to change the pcm so I bought the part and put it in 650 later car still no start so now I changed the cam shaft sensor and still tries to start but just wont I am stressed I have small children and no car now I cant keep dishing out money to these dealers for fixes that arent neccassary I really need some help.
My 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee stalls intermittantly. Usually somewhere between 15 and 60 miles per hour. No warning, no lights and no shudders;it just quits. Most times it will restart on its own but lately it has taken longer to restart. The crankshaft position sensor, throttle position sensor, idle air control valve, coil, sparlk plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor and cam shaft position sensor have all been changed or checked. I am currently running the car with a large hose clamp around the computer and it's plugs. So far my "fix" is working. My stalls have occured on straight roads, in a curve I believe this problem could lead to a loss of control due to no power steering/brakes when the car is dead.

My 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee stalls unexpectedly and sporadically. It seems to happen more often after it's been sitting and not being driven for 3 or more hours, but has occurred at any time or temperature. I've taken it to 3 different mechanics, one who specializes in Jeeps and spent hundreds of dollars trying to fix the problem to no avail. No one seems to know why or how this problem is occurring. The following parts have been replaced: idle air control valve, plugs, wires, distributor cap, asd relay, crank sensor, cam shaft position sensor. I've even had the mechanic try the "magic fix" that I've read on many forums about the screws on the ecm being too long. Nothing. I'm getting so frustrated because it's really dangerous when it just shuts off. Most of the time, it will crank right back up if it happens at idle and if it happens during acceleration, most of the time, it will shut off briefly and come back on before I can get stopped. I don't want ot get rid of the vehicle, but I want some answers. I find it hilarious that Jeep/Chrysler uphold that they aren't aware of any stalling problems that have been reported on the vehicle. That's the number one problem your will find on most Jeep forums. . . Intermittent stalling. Please help!.

Vehicle will shut off intermittently, regardless of speed, outside temperature, length of time engine runs, or any other conceivable factor. A few weeks ago, I drove it to a town 30 miles away and back with no issue. The next time I drove it, the engine shut off two blocks away from my residence. There is no pattern to the malfunctions nor computer codes to download. Have replaced computer, connectors to computer, crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, and many other numerous parts. Various mechanics have been unable to diagnose, some have given up due to frustration. Chrysler dealerships deny ever hearing of the problem, however, I have met three other Grand Cherokee owners in person who have had identical issues. Internet searches will reveal numerous complaints for this vehicle.
The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While driving various speeds on a bumpy road, the vehicle stalled when the contact's knee struck the ignition key. The dealer found no failure with the vehicle, but suggested that the contact remove everything except the ignition key from the key ring. The failure recurred two weeks later and the dealer replaced the crank and cam shaft sensors. The failure recurred a third time and the dealer replaced the ignition switch. The failure recurred three years after the last repair. The vehicle was not repaired again. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 3,500. Updated 8/19/cn.
