Rocker arm issue on the 3. 6l engine seem to be a fabrication problem that the company will only fix if one of those brake during the warranty. After that you're on tour own. It is unfair that the company knowing that the engine have an issue will not recall it and have it fix. The bering fails and the engine start making a knocking sound creating all sort of failing codes on the pcm.

Lifters collapsed into the engine at 145k miles requiring installation of new engine. Vehicle was less than 5 years old. At 2 years of age vehicle was making knocking noises and the check engine light was on. We brought it in for repairs multiple times replacing all lifters, rockers, cam shaft and catalytic converters all at our expense. Each time the check engine light came back on in less than 2 weeks and the knocking continued. After spending all of this money the end result is having to spend more on the new engine.
Tl the contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds over 80 mph, the check engine warning light illuminate and the speed was reduced to 40 mph with a knocking sound coming from the engine. My car will stall and then accelerate very quickly. If I am driving and trying to accelerate my car will stall almost cutting off. This usually happens around a speed of 25/30 mile per hour. I also experienced deceleration while driving on the highway at 60/65 mph. This is very scary. Also when I am in reverse my transmission makes a knocking sound. My engine light constantly comes on. Heat vapors comes from the hood of the car.

My vehicle kept stalling like it was running out of gas and I took it to the Jeep dealer. They kept my car for a week and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. They told me it might be a fuel pump issue but they weren't positive so they asked me to pick up my car and keep a log. The second time it happened I took it back to the dealer and they kept my car for 5 weeks and couldn't replicate the issue. The customer service was awful. They basically told me they didn't know what was wrong and asked me to pick up my car. I picked my car up and the first day I drove it to work it left me stranded on the highway. The car started stalling out and I couldn't maintain my speed on the highway. I had the gas pushed all the way down and I was barely able to get up to 45 mph on a 65 mph highway. I had it towed to a different Jeep dealer which said it was the transmission which I had to pay to have fixed but I think it was related to the fuel pump issue and the transmission blowing up was a result of that not being fixed. The car is starting to have a knocking sound when I drive it again and I'm not convinced I won't be stranded on the side of the road again. It's completely unacceptable that when I had a problem with my Jeep I take it to the dealer and they don't know what's wrong and can't help me. If they don't know, who is supposed to know?? I feel that my children and I are unsafe in this car. It's unacceptable that a car just stalls out of nowhere on a highway and Jeep/Chrysler acted like they could care less. Like it was my problem and not theirs. They inconvenienced me for over 5 weeks and I still don't have a reliable car that I feel safe to drive. Completely unacceptable. Is it going to take someone being seriously injured or killed for Chrysler to do the right thing?.

I have numerous problems with the engine light coming on. This has been going on for some months now. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership for this problem at least three different times. My engine comes on and stays on for days at a time. The dealership was unable to diagnose the problem. Than for last few months, while I am driving all the gears on my dashboard light up and wont allow me to give the car any gas, and makes a sound like the engine is reving up. This can happen two to five times a day. Now, when I put the car from park to reverse it is a making a long banging noise and jerking the car.
